Hi T. Cámara, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My Story:
Hi, my name is T. Cámara, aka Taariq Lester. I’m currently a Graphic designer/Social Media Marketer working on many different projects within the digital design field. I’m also looking for another opportunity to spread my ideas and creativity. As a young digital designer, I’ve learned the importance of diversity and inclusion and how to incorporate them into my designs.
Our Story:
We are a dynamic duo of creatives! Our story began with our meeting in college. And, later on, finding out that our talents can change people’s lives. We decided to work together on building other’s Brands and Companies Utilizing Social Media Marketing, Graphic Designs, Illustrations, Photography, Editing, and more. That’s when Design & Media Agency was born! Looking back at our accomplishments only makes us want to go harder and impress as many businesses as possible with our skills and talents!
Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has only sometimes been smooth sailing for our agency. In the beginning, we found it challenging to balance a schedule that included sales and marketing activities while searching for new clients, not to mention facing the adversities of being a black-owned business and being so young in our profession.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
Design & Media Agency is a creative agency based on the East Coast. As digital storytellers, we’re determined to transform any concept into a purely visual language to appease any audience. We’re young masters in our craft, focusing on Social Media Marketing, Photography, Video/Photo Editing, Graphic Design, and Web Design.
The key differences that set us apart are that we have skills in all aspects of digital media, and our professional experience combined is over 10 years! We are in our early 20s. This means we are very up to date on the newest trends on the internet. Also, when business owners take the time to create content/marketing strategies, they will not get you expert results. We differentiate by ensuring that when you invest in expert opinions and practices, your business will become what you put into it and more! Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is discovering my passion. One day my grandmother gave me my first coloring book, and I began to draw and color all over the pages. After I handed her back the book, she looked over it and realized that I had a hidden talent. Ever since then, I’ve continued to chase my dreams of becoming creative, and it’s been the best experience of my life!
