Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmine Camacho.
Hi Jazmine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Jazmine Camacho, and I am a wardrobe stylist and fashion expert from Greenville, South Carolina. I graduated from Converse College with an Early Childhood Education Degree. Growing up, I was super timid, and clothes were my outlet for self-expression and allowed me to show my creativity. I’ve always been the friend that everyone came to for fashion advice. Two years ago, after a life-changing event, I realized that life is too short to wait to do what you love. I quickly realized my true passion was fashion. I started a fashion Instagram and posted pictures of my daily outfits. Surprisingly, I was picked up and featured on Urban Outfitters, Princess Polly, and Charcoal Clothing. Once I knew I was meant to do this, I started seeking training opportunities and trained one-on-one with styling coach Catherine Horgan. I gained so much knowledge and experience to meet the needs of all my clients. I built Jazmine Camacho Styling to share my personal experiences with women and empower them to have the confidence to dress how they want to the right now.
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Every thriving business will encounter challenges that must be overcome to reach its goals. Starting your business is easy; overcoming these struggles will set you up for future success. My biggest struggle has been believing in myself. Being a stylist has always been a dream of mine; it was hard for me to realize my fear and doubts of the unknown were stopping me from truly pursuing my passion. I had to change my mindset and remember that I have people all around me cheering me on, who believe in me and want to see me grow. I love what I do. I love making a woman feel confident and empowered; giving that same love to yourself is important.

I am a wardrobe and fashion expert from Greenville, SC. I was born and raised in Greenville and have experienced the city’s growth firsthand. How we get dressed in the morning (for work or a special occasion) has the power to give us the confidence to share who we are and shines a light on our story. As the city grows, my goal is to bring diversity into what people wear and where they shop for clothes. My services are explicitly catered to clients and what best fits their lifestyles. I offer in-person styling, virtual styling, event styling, and closet clean-outs.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love how much Greenville has grown and all the new businesses it has brought. As a creative business owner, I am excited and hopeful about future opportunities. Because I was born and raised in a small city, watching it transform into something new is bittersweet.
