Hi Rhysa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2003, Rhysa decided to venture from her path as an Education Major at West Virginia University and follow her passion for the Beauty Industry. She believes “if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.”
Rhysa founded Baddhare Salon in 2017 after 15 years of experience behind the chair and 3 years of experience as a Goldwell color educator. It has rapidly grown since opening its doors, becoming a 7 figure business in less than 6 years. She attributes her success to her commitment to education and training in salon business courses. Rhysa will always love being behind the chair but has a new passion for training and coaching.
Baddhare Alliance is a prestige affiliate program for salon owners to expedite their success in the beauty industry. The fulfillment of coaching Baddhare team members has led Rhysa to launch Baddhare Alliance alongside co-owner Abbie Brown. Rhysa will fulfill her vision to grow the Baddhare brand across the Grand Strand and beyond through this hybrid franchise.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not. After Rhysa aligned herself with a salon business coach, she gained traction with her success as a salon owner. Some of Rhysa’s struggles include acquiring proper knowledge from a stylist mindset into a business owner’s mindset. Other challenges include time management and delegation. She jokingly always says she wishes she could clone herself because there are endless things she wishes to accomplish, and she loves to be involved in all aspects of the business.

Baddhare Salon offers quality products and services by passionately educating our guests and staff about an exceptional salon experience. Baddhare stands behind transparency and offers all guests the choice of clean beauty. Our dedication to serving a diverse clientele shines through our versatile staff.
Baddhare is unique in many ways. We have been a Green Circle Salon for the last 2 years. With this program, we can recycle up to 95% of all our beauty waste in the salon daily. We also utilize Vish (a color scale software device) to track color usage and reduce product waste. Between utilizing Green Circle Salon and Vish, Baddhare is a certified sustainable and eco-friendly salon.
We are very proud to service all hair types and textures. We can service a versatile clientele with several curl specialists on staff. Our salon’s choice of clean beauty offerings also adds to our versatility. We love offering our guests clean beauty choices and traditional salon products.
The Baddhare staff itself is what makes Baddhare Salon truly special. The camaraderie of our team supports the upbeat environment we have the privilege of working in daily. The baddhare leaders invest time in each employee, developing them personally and professionally. Their success and growth are of utmost importance to us as leaders.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson Rhysa learned is to align herself with the right support to grow her business. She has also learned never to stop learning. Always have an open mind and learn something new every day.
