Sharmane, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I would like to say my entrepreneurship started at the age of 21 but for me being an artistic, spiritualistic revolutionary and a massive thinker were things from birth. Since an adolescent, I have always had a passion to own and control my own businesses. My father from a young age instilled these and many more intensive core values into my younger siblings and eye so in his words ” we can be better than him and my mother”. My grandfather had an active way in forming me into this way as well since he has owned multiple businesses in my nonexisting and existing life. By calling myself an artist most would think of a painter or someone who draws. MY description of an artist is different. Eye am an artist because I create art through everything eye have a passion for which adds more beauty to any of my crafts.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My main struggle when starting would be clientele and trusting myself. Those two things actually correlate in multiple ways in my life simply because my businesses are normally eCommerce based. By this, I mean SUPPORT from every point of the spectrum. My clientele issues were making me doubt myself because I thought it was me without evaluating all the other factors (area, target market, ads, etc). By me doubting myself others saw the doubt in my work, especially my verbiage. If you can’t be your own fan or hero then the struggles overly occupy your mind. It is this quote I live by every day that my father told me as a child ” You will NEVER take a loss but ALWAYS learn a lesson!”
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I do a multitude of things but detail vehicles, Pressure wash, candle maker, ALL NATURAL Hair care line, sell pallets, co-owner/producer of distorted vision ( podcast), infused food cater, event planner, poet, rental company (bouncy houses, tables, & movie night), clothing label and nonprofit organizations. I specialize in all-natural hair, party/ event planning, mobile pressure washing, and helping & educating my people. One of my greatest accomplishments is seeing my own growth. I do what I do not for the money but for the positive impact that it has on my people. I am known for spreading peace, love, light and knowledge to my people rather from; having a conversation, getting a haircut, picking up an order, getting a detail or listening to our podcast EVERY Sunday at 9pm on every major streaming platform. That would be what sets me apart from everyone.
