Conversations with Be Whitten

Today we’d like to introduce you to Be Whitten.

Hi Be, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started creating content after moving from Metro Atlanta to Upstate South Carolina in 2023. I had already spent several years working behind the scenes in the film industry, but I’ve always had a passion for writing, entertainment, and—let’s be honest—making people laugh.

Then 2023 decided to throw me a plot twist: the film strike happened, and I found myself working at a FedEx distribution center. Let’s just say FedEx and I were not exactly a match made in heaven. But the silver lining was that every day at that job seemed to provide me with new material.

After work, I started turning those experiences into content. One of the videos where I shared my FedEx experience ended up going viral. Apparently, I wasn’t the only person who had questions about what goes on inside a distribution center!

That moment gave me the motivation to keep creating. Since then, my content has continued to receive a great response and has opened the door to opportunities to collaborate with fellow content creators, entertainers, and business brands.

I’ve always wanted to entertain people, but I never imagined I’d be doing it quite like this. What started as me trying to find something productive to do after a job I didn’t particularly enjoy has turned into a growing creative platform. I’m genuinely grateful that people are choosing to follow along, laugh with me, and hopefully forget about their own problems for a few minutes.

I was born and raised in Texas and later graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, with a degree in English Literature. I’ve been happily married for 15 years, and I’m also a proud father to a son.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like any journey worth taking, the road isn’t always freshly paved. Sometimes there isn’t even a road. Sometimes it’s just dirt, potholes, and a questionable decision to keep going.

One of the hardest parts about being a creator isn’t necessarily creating, it’s having the nerve to actually put your work out into the world over and over again, regardless of the response or the lack there of. That’s when you become extremely vulnerable because, once you hit “post,” the audience gets a vote. You can’t control whether people laugh, comment, share, scroll past, or act like they never saw it. And trust me, sometimes that last one hurts the most.

But eventually, you learn that consistency and authenticity are everything. When you stop trying to create for everybody and start being true to yourself, you naturally begin to find the people who connect with your personality, your humor, and your content. Those are the people who stick around, engage, and become part of the journey.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a rising content creator best known for my comedic reaction videos and parody skits. What I’m most proud of, though, is the ability to spread some cheer and connect with so many different people and businesses through what I create. If I can make somebody laugh, brighten their day, or give them a reason to hit “share,” then I feel like I’ve done my job.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
For anyone looking to collaborate, promote a brand, or simply follow along for a few laughs, all of my social media platforms are @bewhittenfunny.

And I’m not just a content creator. I’m also a traveling comedian and entrepreneur with my own branded merchandise. So yes, you can watch me online, see me on stage, and even wear me on a shirt. For upcoming shows, bookings, and merchandise, all the links can be found in my bio.

Most importantly, I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way whether you purchased a ticket to one of my shows, bought some merchandise, followed or subscribed, liked and shared my content, or simply took the time to send me a word of encouragement.

Every bit of support means something to me. I’m truly grateful for everyone who has decided to take this journey with me.
