Today we’d like to introduce you to Sunset Black.
Hi Sunset, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Sunset Black is a South Carolina–based country rap artist who entered his first rap cypher at 17, beginning a musical journey rooted in Southern hip-hop, and high-energy live performance. Since then, he has shared stages with artists like Tech N9ne and worked with Bubba Sparxxx, Bezz Believe, YMCMB, Lil Wyte, and more. Known for his authentic Southern sound and larger-than-life personality, Sunset Black continues to carve out his own lane in country rap while bringing his music to audiences across the country.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think the music industry is ever smooth there’s ups and down but I’m one of those people that just enjoy music I’ll be doing shows at 80 god willing i embrace the ups and the downs
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a southern hip hop artist, but at the heart of what I do, I’m simply a musician who loves all kinds of music. Everything I create comes from the heart and from the enjoyment I get from making music. I specialize in blending Southern hip-hop, country influences, storytelling, rock and core hip hop with high-energy performance into something that feels authentic to me.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I mean social media is key to keeping listeners listening and engaged but besides that ima people person I like to get on a mingle so I’m not wrapped up in online aspect of it!!
