Meet Dr. Troy Hall of Cohesion Culture™

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Troy Hall.

Hi Dr. Troy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The foundational push behind Cohesion Culture™ began with a straightforward mission to eliminate toxic work environments by establishing spaces where professionals feel genuine psychological safety and belonging. Instead of focusing solely on traditional output metrics, the framework prioritizes building workplace dynamics around trust, mutual respect, and intentional inclusion.

Backed by extensive leadership research and practical application, Cohesion Culture™ frames organizational cohesion as a direct catalyst for top-tier performance. Companies implementing the framework consistently report lower turnover rates, stronger leadership pipelines, and a faster pace of innovation. The framework centers on three non-negotiable pillars—cultivating belonging, demonstrating value, and fostering mutual commitment—all bound together by trust-based collaboration. When these elements align, team members move from passive participation to active, mission-driven engagement.

Today, this methodology powers several specialized developmental tracks designed for distinct organizational needs:

– The Cohesive Leader: Designed for emerging leaders who are looking to advance or new to the role, this program translates broad cultural principles into daily leadership habits. Leaders gain tactical tools for transparent communication, empathetic conflict resolution, and trust-centered decision-making. C.A.R.L., the Cohesive Artificial Response Leader and the first AI-powered book bot of its kind supports the online and classroom learning platforms providing customized leadership advice based on the teachings and research of the Cohesion Culture™️collective intelligence.
– The Cohesive Sales Approach: Replaces aggressive, outdated sales tactics with consultative, trust-first client engagement. Sales professionals learn to leverage emotional intelligence, address client pain points with authentic empathy, and build long-term retention through shared success. Using AI-powered technology, S.A.L.L.E., your personal Sales Assistant for Learning, Leading, and Engaging provides an element of teaching and support to participants of the online and in-person sessions.
– The Cohesion Culture™ Program: An organizational-level intervention designed for executives and human resource professionals delivering tailored roadmap creation, executive coaching, and full team-alignment workshops. It provides companies with a sustainable blueprint for talent retention and inclusive growth.

As the founder of Cohesion Culture™, I continue to work directly with global leaders to overhaul organizational health. I regularly share actionable insights, research updates, and strategic tools through www.DrTroyHall.com and my LinkedIn profile. I believe performance breakthroughs naturally follow when human connection comes first and are built upon the transformational principle of others before self.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We typically run into two main roadblocks when helping organizations transform their workplace environments:

1. Financial Hesitation Over Sustainable Investment: Many companies champion the idea of a cohesive culture, but back away when it comes time to fund meaningful change. There is a common misconception that a single, one-off training seminar can magically cure deep-seated organizational dysfunction. Cultural health requires ongoing commitment, not a quick fix.
2. The Know-It-All Leadership Mindset: The hardest leaders to help are the ones who believe they already have everything figured out. When executive leadership becomes unteachable, the entire organization stalls. Ironically, the teams that stand to benefit the most from Cohesion Culture™ are often led by executives who resist outside perspective.

Our most successful partnerships are with forward-thinking organizations that already have a solid foundation but want to elevate their performance. We do not arrive with the intention of tearing down an existing culture. Our goal is to enhance it by introducing cohesion.

Unlike passive engagement initiatives, cohesion is a direct cause of high performance. It is causal, not merely correlational. When genuine cohesion exists, elevated performance is the natural result. It creates an environment where team members proactively solve problems, support one another without prompting, and take personal ownership of both their individual growth and the company’s overarching mission. In short, cohesion serves as the direct catalyst that connects engaged employees to measurable business success.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

How do you think about luck?
What was your favorite childhood memory?

Growing up, my world was shaped by the quiet warmth of home and the steady, guiding presence of my mother, FANNY. Some of my fondest childhood memories aren’t from grand vacations or milestone events, but from the simple, everyday moments sitting near her, watching the way she navigated life with grace, humor, and unwavering resolve.

When my mother received her cancer diagnosis, it was a moment that shifted everything. Yet, the time we spent together during that season became my most cherished memory. While the circumstances were heavy, that diagnosis gifted us a concentrated season of connection. In those quiet hours, I received a masterclass in life and leadership that I might never have absorbed otherwise.

FANNY taught me early on that character is defined by our choices, not our circumstances. She helped me understand that it isn’t our successes or failures that shape our lives, but how we choose to handle them. Later in life, when someone told me I didn’t have the talent to write, it was FANNY’S voice echoing in my mind: “It’s better to aim for the stars and land on the moon than to never have gotten off the ground at all.”

My parents were the greatest influencers of my life, and one of the privileges I am most proud of was getting to care for both of them for five years before they passed on. That deep bond and those foundational lessons inspired me to write FANNY RULES: A Mother’s Leadership Lessons that Never Grow Old as a tribute to her legacy. To my delight and surprise, this book full of inspiration hit #1 in Business and Professional Humor.

Today, I rely on stories, parables, and the wisdom I learned from FANNY and my mentors to illustrate leadership concepts.
