Today we’d like to introduce you to Jarrod Fritz.
Hi Jarrod, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After finding my way into the massage therapy world by accident, I started working with a company for several years and shortly after the company desolved and the two owners went their separate ways. I then followed one of the the owners to his new ventures which was working well until he decided to sell the company. After working on an international opportunity for almost 2 months and returning, I found it challenging working with the company. With the encouragement of my wife, I decided to give business ownership a try. Full of anxiety, hardships, and a lot of on the job training, I became resilient and have been successful enough to be where I am today!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
If anyone believes business ownership is smooth, they are sadly mistaken. There is so much that I had to learn along the way while voluntarily failing. To me, figuring out the best practices for not only client building but also client retention has be a series of education which are absolutely invaluable.
As you know, we’re big fans of DEFINED: Therapeutic Massage. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Known for integrative massage, I take a focused look at the problems that limit your everyday life. From there, with the client’s health history input and my assessment of postural analysis we determine the goal we would like to achieve then treat accordingly. The idea is to restore muscular balance. With a history of teaching massage therapy, in depth experience (including massage therapy for the US Women’s National Soccer team at the 08 Beijing Olympics & more), as well as a desire to really make a positive difference, I strive to help you move, feel, & be better! Pride can be a tricky road to travel but I am extremely proud of the branding that I have done which creates my name and logo in direct association with the phrase “massage therapy”.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I am pretty much and open book and most know a lot about me. Some suprising things to others are that I compete in strongman events as well as the fact that I am a professional wrestling referee. Teaching is still a passion of mine, so I am consistently trying to develop new courses to give back to the massage therapy community.
