Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey started with a passion for hair and a desire to create something of my own. What started as doing hair for people around me slowly turned into something much bigger than I ever imagined. I continued learning, perfecting my craft, and building my clientele one person at a time.
Today, I’m truly proud of how far I’ve come and the business I’ve built. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to tell my story once again, build a loyal clientele, watch some of my youngest clients grow up, and turn something I love into a career.
I’m still growing, still learning, and still dreaming bigger. My goal is to continue building my brand, creating amazing experiences for my clients, and building something that I can be proud of for years to come.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. There have been times when I wanted to give up completely and pursue a different career. Running a business can become very overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to make sure every client is happy while also managing everything behind the scenes.
One of the biggest challenges has been finding the balance between staying within my clients’ budgets while still charging enough to maintain a comfortable, livable lifestyle. It can be difficult trying to meet everyone’s needs while also remembering that my time, talent, and business have value. Through it all, I’ve had to learn patience, boundaries, and the importance of not giving up on something I’ve worked so hard to build.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a professional hairstylist and business owner specializing in protective styles, especially braids. I’m known for my creativity, attention to detail, and making my clients feel confident and beautiful.
I’m most proud of the loyal clientele and relationships I’ve built over the years. What sets me apart is that I genuinely care about my clients, my craft, and always pushing myself to grow and improve.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see the beauty industry continuing to grow, especially as more people support small businesses and entrepreneurs. Over the next 5–10 years, I hope to grow beyond just being a hairstylist. My ultimate goal is to own my own salon suites and hair supply store, creating a space where other beauty professionals can grow while also providing quality products to clients.
