Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a Travel Advisor and founder of Cilla Travel. I help active adults, women business owners, professionals, ” grand mom-preneurs”, and all-around superwomen connect with their “Inner Explorer”, and travel the world on their own terms. I help you live the dream through travel
🌎I come from an I.T. and software development background so I know how important it is to get away from it all a couple of times per year, if you can manage it.
I’ve been in the travel industry going on 5 years now after owning a timeshare for many years. My husband and I have a blended family. So we needed safe lodgings for our 6 children. It was good for a while but when the children grew up it became a financial drain. So I started a travel agency. So far I’m loving it. Ive traveled to countries in both Europe and Africa. I hope to keep traveling until I cant. 😂
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not understanding the travel industry in the beginning, The pandemic. Working and building a business at the same time. Becoming independent. Learning the business, marketing, live video, and sales.

Im a retired IT professional. Im also an Army Vet. And travel is my 4th career shift in life. Im most proud that I was able to finish college, become leadership at my old job abd retire with a plan and a business that a I love. I researc unique h history and culture to present rich and unique experiences for people who want an adventure in their latter years.
