Today we’d like to introduce you to Tee Marie.
Hi Tee, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story started as a working housewife. After giving birth to my first child I took time off to navigate new motherhood. After returning to work for a short time period, I gave birth to my second child. Entrepreneurship was then introduced to me and I loved working for myself! It took me several years to be able to transition into full time entrepreneurship, but when I did I absolutely loved it. I learned how to create websites, email marketing, wrote a book, wrote and directed a stage play that toured for 3 years.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not been smooth at all. COVID-19 tested me in ways that made me come out stronger. However, in the midst of the struggles, I was not always optimistic. I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease in 2022 that was a rude awakening for me. At the time I was contracted with a million dollar company and I tried hard to maintain my position, but I just could not. Not to mention the normal growing pains of raising teenagers, running a household, and trying to maintain my sanity while navigating it all.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
After years of consulting with business owners and receiving no compensation, my business partner, Theodora Johnson, and I decided to start a consulting firm. Between the two of us we have 30+ years of experience consulting with business owners. We offer services that help new business owners start their business with a solid foundation. Existing business owners can also benefit from our consulting with the customer service training that we offer. My experience with building websites is also a service that is available with T&T Resolutions, Inc. What sets us apart from others is that we value customer service in ALL businesses. This touch point is something that corporations have seemed to forgotten over time. By connecting with customers/clients politely you change the entire experience.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice for businesses that are starting out is to pay attention to the small things when services are being delivered. You would be surprised what people appreciate. People don’t remember what you say, they remember how you make them feel. I wish I knew the many twists and turns that happen when running a business starting out. Be able to pivot and assess when something may not work.
