Hidden Gems: Meet Jas Rosales Bastida of Digital Legal Resources, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jas Rosales Bastida.

Hi Jas, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is really a story about creating something bigger than myself.

I was born in New York and eventually made my way to South Carolina, where I built a life, a family, and businesses from the ground up. I’ve never been the person who was comfortable sitting on the sidelines. If I see an opportunity, a problem that needs solving, or someone who needs help, my instinct is to figure out how to make it happen.

My entrepreneurial journey began by building Just Another Season Productions, LLC a digital marketing company, then Digital Legal Resources LLC, where I combined my experience in legal support, notary services, document preparation, and bilingual services to help people navigate processes that can often feel overwhelming. Being bilingual became more than a skill—it became a bridge between people and opportunities.

Real estate eventually became another major part of that journey. I became a South Carolina Realtor because someone believed in me and I saw an opportunity to combine my love of business, negotiation, investing, and helping people with one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. Today, I work throughout the Upstate South Carolina market, helping buyers, sellers, investors, and families navigate everything from first-time purchases to land, new construction, investment properties, and luxury real estate.

But I don’t see myself as “just a Realtor.”

I’m an entrepreneur, investor, bilingual notary and officiant, marketer, problem solver, and someone who is constantly looking for the next opportunity to build. My goal has always been bigger than simply selling houses. I want to build businesses and assets that create long-term wealth for my family while helping other people do the same.

That vision includes building a real estate investment portfolio, flipping properties, developing rental properties, and eventually creating hospitality ventures of my own. I’m especially passionate about showing people that real estate can be more than a transaction, it can be a pathway to ownership, stability, and generational wealth.

What makes my story unique is that I’ve built my career around people. I work with English- and Spanish-speaking clients, I understand the importance of making complicated processes easier, and I bring a very personal approach to business. I’m serious about results, but I also believe business should have personality. I’m known for being energetic, authentic, bilingual, and occasionally a complete goofball, which is probably why people remember me.

Today, I’m focused on expanding my real estate business, growing my entrepreneurial ventures, investing in property, creating additional streams of income, and building a legacy my family can be proud of.

I didn’t start with everything figured out. I started with a willingness to learn, work, take risks, and keep going.

And honestly, I’m still just getting started.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not and honestly, I’m grateful for that.

There have been plenty of moments when I’ve had to figure things out while I was already in the middle of doing them. Building businesses, raising a family, navigating career changes, learning real estate, and trying to create financial security at the same time has not always been easy. There have been financial challenges, unexpected setbacks, difficult business situations, and moments when I questioned whether I was taking on too much.

One of my biggest struggles has been learning that entrepreneurship doesn’t come with a roadmap. When you’re building multiple businesses and trying to create something meaningful for your family, there are times when you have to make decisions without knowing exactly how everything will turn out. I’ve had to learn how to adapt, recover from mistakes, manage uncertainty, and keep moving forward even when the results weren’t immediate.

Real estate has also taught me a lot about resilience. Deals fall apart. Markets change. Clients change their minds. Opportunities don’t always work out the way you expect. There have been moments when I’ve had to take a step back, reevaluate, and come back stronger.

But I think those experiences are some of the most valuable parts of my story.

They taught me that setbacks are not the same thing as failure. Sometimes they are simply part of the tuition you pay to become better at what you do.

I’ve learned to stop looking at obstacles as signs that I should quit and start looking at them as opportunities to become more resourceful, more strategic, and more prepared.

The road hasn’t been smooth but it has made me stronger, more ambitious, and much more intentional about what I’m building.

I’m not interested in creating a business that only looks successful from the outside. I’m building something sustainable businesses, investments, relationships, and ultimately a legacy that can benefit my family for generations.

And the biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is simple: you don’t have to have the entire path figured out. You just have to be willing to take the next step.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Digital Legal Resources, LLC ?
Digital Legal Resources LLC was created with a simple mission to make complicated processes easier to understand, easier to access, and less intimidating for everyday people and small businesses.

I built Digital Legal Resources because I saw how many people struggle to navigate documents, legal-adjacent processes, government requirements, and important life events simply because they don’t know where to start or because language becomes a barrier.

Our services include bilingual notary services, document preparation and support, certified translation coordination, apostille services, DMV-related assistance, business documents, contracts and other administrative resources. We also provide bilingual wedding officiant services, helping couples create meaningful ceremonies that reflect their culture, personalities, and stories.

What makes Digital Legal Resources different is the combination of professional experience, accessibility, and bilingual service. We are not trying to make people feel like they need a law degree to understand what they are doing. Our goal is to help clients understand the process, prepare the appropriate documents, and connect them with the right resources when a matter requires an attorney or another licensed professional.

Being bilingual is a huge part of our brand. For many Spanish-speaking families, navigating paperwork, real estate transactions, immigration-related documentation, international documents, business matters, or government processes can feel overwhelming. We help eliminate some of that confusion by providing information and services in both English and Spanish.

I’m especially proud that Digital Legal Resources has grown from an idea into a brand built around trust, accessibility, and problem-solving. People often come to us when something is important buying or selling property, starting a business, getting documents notarized, preparing for international travel, getting married, or dealing with paperwork they simply don’t understand. Being trusted with those moments means a lot to me.

I also believe the brand represents something bigger than the individual services we provide. Digital Legal Resources is evolving into a resource hub—one that combines professional services, digital products, educational resources, and technology to help people become more informed and self-sufficient.

Ultimately, I want people to know that Digital Legal Resources is about more than paperwork. It’s about access.

Access to information.
Access to resources.
Access to opportunities.

And our goal is to make that access easier for everyone especially the communities that have traditionally had the hardest time navigating these systems.

That is what I’m most proud of: building a brand that can sit at the intersection of business, real estate, legal support, bilingual services, and entrepreneurship, while genuinely helping people move forward.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you find mentors by building genuine relationships with people you admire and showing them that you are serious about growing.

For me, networking has worked best when I stopped thinking about it as “What can this person do for me?” and started thinking about, “What can I bring to this relationship?”

I’ve learned to introduce myself, ask questions, listen, follow up, and most importantly actually do something with the advice people give me. If someone takes the time to share their experience with me, I want them to see that their time wasn’t wasted.

I also believe you should be intentional about the rooms you put yourself in. Go to real estate events, business networking groups, investor meetups, community events, workshops, conferences, and even places where you might feel like you don’t quite belong yet. Sometimes the room you’re nervous to walk into is exactly the room where your next opportunity is waiting.

Another piece of advice I would give is don’t look only for people who are ahead of you. Some of my most valuable relationships have come from people who are simply good at something I’m trying to learn. You can have different mentors for different areas of your life business, investing, marketing, leadership, finances, or personal development.

And don’t underestimate the power of being the person who reaches out first.

I’ve also learned that networking is not about collecting business cards or having thousands of contacts. It’s about building a reputation. When people know you as someone who works hard, keeps your word, solves problems, and genuinely wants to help others, opportunities tend to find you.

My biggest advice is this: find people who are doing what you want to do, study them, ask questions, add value, and stay connected.

And when you eventually get further ahead, become the mentor you wished you had when you were starting.

That’s how you create not just a network, but a community.
