Daily Inspiration: Meet Gisele Broughton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gisele Broughton.

Hi Gisele, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve had a passion for hair for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was always playing in someone’s hair, never imagining it would become my career.

I started doing hair for friends and family in middle school, and my first paying client was while I was in college. At the time, I was studying to become a sonographer because I loved the idea of helping bring new life into the world. However, after having a dream about my late great-grandmother, I felt led to pursue cosmetology instead.

In 2018, I attended Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology and became a licensed cosmetologist. Ange Nancy played a huge role in my journey by encouraging me to follow my passion and teaching me the importance of excellent customer service.

Today, I specialize in luxury hair extensions and custom hand-stitched glueless wigs, with every unit made specifically for each client. My greatest joy is helping people feel beautiful and confident.

Above all, I thank God for blessing me with this talent, and I’m incredibly grateful to every client who has trusted and supported me throughout the years. Their loyalty is the reason I’m able to do what I love every day.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say my journey has been relatively smooth because I’ve been doing hair for so long that word of mouth has become the foundation of my business. I’m incredibly grateful for the clients who continue to trust me and refer others to my chair.

Of course, there are days when I’m tired or don’t have the energy to be in the salon, but I always show up because I know my clients are counting on me, and I genuinely appreciate their support.

I try not to view challenges as struggles. Instead, I see them as part of the journey. At one point in my life, I prayed for the opportunities and success I have today, so even the difficult days are a reminder that I’m living in the answered prayers I once hoped for.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m known for my signature blunt cut bobs, seamless flat extension installs, and custom glueless installs and wigs. My goal has always been to create styles that look and feel as natural as possible, enhancing my clients beauty while mimicking the look of their own hair.

One thing that sets me apart is that I stay true to what I do best. Rather than trying to master every trend, I’ve focused on perfecting the techniques I’m most passionate about. Over the years, that consistency has allowed me to refine my craft and deliver results that both my clients and I are proud of. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a client leave my chair feeling confident and beautiful.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality I value most is reliability. I take pride in being someone my clients can always count on. Whether it’s showing up on time, providing a consistent experience, or delivering quality results, I believe dependability is one of the biggest keys to success.

My clients know that when they book with me, they’ll receive exceptional service, punctuality, and efficiency. I’m also known for being one of the fastest stylists, without ever compromising the quality of my work. Building that level of trust has been one of the greatest contributors to my success.
