Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Pruett.
Hi Jade, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my career in SEO without a formal marketing background; I actually studied literature. I worked my way through agency and in-house roles, learning the industry by doing, before starting HelloSEO as a side hustle in 2020.
The business grew quickly enough that I was able to leave my job and build it full-time. Today, HelloSEO is a successful SEO and AI visibility agency, with a growing focus on helping therapy practices become easier to find online.
More recently, I became a cofounder of MetaMonster, an SEO software platform designed to make high-quality optimization more efficient and scalable. I now split my time between growing HelloSEO, helping build MetaMonster, and figuring out how to create businesses that are both ambitious and sustainable.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not. Entrepreneurship has come with plenty of uncertainty: slow seasons, losing clients, trying things that do not work as quickly as I hoped, and constantly figuring out how to grow without burning myself out.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning that working harder is not always the answer. As HelloSEO has grown and I have taken on building MetaMonster, I have had to get much better at delegating, creating systems and focusing on the work only I can do. There have been a lot of growing pains, but each one has pushed me to become a better leader and build more sustainable businesses.
As you know, we’re big fans of HelloSEO + MetaMonster . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
HelloSEO is an SEO and AI visibility agency that helps therapy practices build a strong, sustainable foundation for being found online. We are especially known for making SEO feel approachable and transparent. Rather than hiding behind complicated reports or vague promises, we focus on clear strategy, meaningful data and work that is closely connected to a client’s actual business goals. We have recently developed a growing specialization in working with therapy practices.
I am also a cofounder of MetaMonster, an SEO tool that helps agencies, consultants and marketing teams optimize websites more efficiently without sacrificing quality or strategy. It was built to solve many of the bottlenecks I experienced while growing HelloSEO.
What I am most proud of is that both brands are rooted in the same philosophy: SEO should be useful, ethical and understandable. We are not interested in creating more content or checking more boxes just for the sake of it. We want to help people do better work, get better results and feel more confident about how they show up online.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as having the freedom to build meaningful businesses without sacrificing the rest of my life to them. Of course, growth and financial success matter to me, but so do creating great work, taking care of my team and clients, being present with my family, and having the space to keep pursuing new ideas. To me, success is building something ambitious that is also sustainable.
