Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackson Droze Warren.
Jackson Droze, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My entire life, I dreamed of becoming an entertainer. Proud to say I have been a full-time musician now for 5 years, going on my 6th. I graduated from The University of South Carolina with a degree in Sport & Entertainment Management in 2020, and have been using the knowledge gained thru my collegiate career to successfully manage myself, and now begin managing other Artists and Bands. The way I got to where I am at today was by taking risks and beliving in myself.
after college, I moved back to my hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, and with the support of my friends, family, and community, I began playing regularly at local bars and venues, while self-producing and releasing my own music.
Thankfully, Charleston has an incredible music scene, and the people I have met along the way and the support system the community has given me has helped me become more successful than I ever dreamed.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth road. The music industry is a constant uphill battle with a roller coaster of emotions. Struggles are one of the only constants, and that is why they say “keep going.” So many people get discouraged and give up without realizing how close they were to the next level. it takes reaching the bottom to get to the top.
Fighting through adversity and enjoying the roller coaster ride is the only way to be happy and succesfful in this crazy crazy industry.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am mainly a recording artist and live musician. I play guitar and sing, write and produce my own music. I am known for my collective/band Droze & the Drift, where I travel the East Coast with some amazing musicians, open for my favorite bands, and perform originals/covers at restaurants, breweries, and bars.
My goal is to be able to work in any field in the industry. I am also a multi-instrumentalist, music instructor, Entertainment Consultant, and artist manager. I do graphic design and run my own social media as well as other content creators.
What matters most to you?
Spreading joy through music.
