Hidden Gems: Meet Kay Hughes of Everyday With K Hughes LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kay Hughes.

Hi Kay, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In 2020, just six days after having my son, the world shut down because of the pandemic. During such an uncertain time, I decided to share my birth story to help other moms who were preparing to give birth without knowing what to expect.

I shared my experience, along with tips, encouragement, and honest advice. The response was overwhelming, and that’s when the Everyday with K. Hughes mom community truly began.

Creating videos became my creative outlet during a season when the world felt so isolated. At the time, I had no idea what content creation even was. But I became a student of the industry—researching, networking, investing in courses, and learning everything I could about marketing and digital storytelling.

I poured countless hours into building the brand you see today: Everyday with K. Hughes. Through consistency and authenticity, I created the kind of mom community I needed and hoped other women could find encouragement in too.

What started with one vulnerable story has grown into a thriving community of more than 25,000 followers across platforms, over 150 brand partnerships, speaking engagements, meaningful collaborations, and opportunities I never imagined possible. And I’m just getting started.

On my platform Everyday With K Hughes I share a lot of hacks, products, and activities for moms. I was previously an elementary educator, also worked as higher education professional and non profit for at risk children and in education tech. So I get to be creative with things I’m doing with my own children, or share what works on my motherhood journey.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges has been keeping up with an industry that is constantly changing while staying true to my story, my message, and my purpose for creating. Content creation has evolved so much since I started in 2020, and it’s easy to feel the pressure to keep up with every trend.

I’ve also had to work through self-doubt. Every new season of life or shift in my content comes with questions like, Will my community connect with this? Will they embrace this new direction? It takes a lot of courage to keep putting yourself out there over and over again.

When those thoughts creep in, I always go back to my “why.” That’s what keeps me grounded and gives me the motivation to keep showing up. My goal has never been to simply create content—it’s always been to serve, encourage, and make a positive impact on the moms in my community. As long as I’m leading with that purpose, I know I’m creating the right kind of content.

As you know, we’re big fans of Everyday With K Hughes LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Everyday with K. Hughes is a marketing and content creation business where I work as a digital content producer. I partner with both local and national brands to create high-quality, relatable content that can be used across their digital platforms—including social media, websites, digital advertising, email marketing, and more.

In addition to content creation, I offer one-on-one social media consulting for individuals and brands looking to grow their online presence. I also provide social media management for businesses, helping them create a strategy, connect with their audience, and show up consistently online.
