Today we’d like to introduce you to Regina Davis.
Hi Regina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The impetus of my real estate career occurred April 19,2020. Ten days after being admitted for Covid 19’ double lung pneumonia. I was admitted April 9, three days after my birthday. 1 year and 2 months after my mother passed from stage 4 colon
cancer. I laid in the wing in Novant hospital dedicated to the care of those with severe illness, unable to breathe, unable to keep my SPO2 above 90%, alone. I had served Mecklenburg County for 6 years as a Paramedic and here I was unable to heal myself. I recall the moment I heard God say to me get up out of the bed. Which seemed to be an impossible ask I had lost 20 pounds and was incredibly weak and my fever had finally broken. As I stood up simultaneously a physician walked in. We locked eyes and he said to me. “Oh yeah. We’re gonna get you out of here! “ I had been given a second chance at life. He believed I could make it and I clung to that belief. All of the care I received from multiple caregivers felt like the strength I needed to have hope that I would live. It also caused me to think about how I could serve and accomplish the goal of opening a business. After exploring my interests and my core values I thought about becoming a REALTOR. I wanted to serve and support my community who believed in home ownership and those who took the courageous steps forward to achieve their dreams. Two weeks ago , I moved into the role of BIC and I’m looking forward to building my brokerage and supporting the community of buyers & sellers and any brokers that want to align with my mission.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been predictable. Our natural roads are not always smooth, but our abilities help us navigate with skill. I encountered the initial challenge of getting an agency to believe in a brand new agent. I drank from the fire hose as I sat through hours of training at brokerages and then needed to ensure I could put that training to use correctly. Also, getting my first sale which happened to be a lead that was provided by BIC. Also making sure all my fees were paid when I didn’t have a pipeline. Also making the choice to move on from one agency when growth was no longer in sight or when there was no longer mutual alignment

I am building this business and brand to provide luxury level real estate care and support at every price point. I specialize in educating clients in an effort to diminish fear and to provide clarity about real estate transactions. I am most proud of my commitment to transparency and to fiduciary advisement. I want my clients to make fully informed decisions regarding their transactions. We are a full service brokerage spanning ,first time home purchases, home sales , representing buyers during new home purchases, relocation, real estate education, strategic planning, negotiation, investor transaction, property management & consulting.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I am a resilient person. I know how to move forward after struggle and I am committed to moving clients forward by encouraging people to discover their agency within a real estate transaction.
