Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather North.
Hi heather, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We were long time summer residents of Hendersonville, North Carolina. We saw a need downtown for an upscale boutique and started looking for a building to come for sale….the right one did and we bought it and renovated it to be a boutique….started from nothing….went to market and started securing the lines we thought would work for the store….opened within a year and have constantly evolved into the boutique it is today…..We have the brands now that fit perfectly with our clients
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were definitely some struggles along the way! Keeping the store stocked and finding just the right staff was not easy…..But we now have amazing staff that truly love the store and are constantly looking for ways to make it better
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a lawyer…..but have always loved decorating and design…….The boutique has offered me a way to use that creativity to create something nice for Hendersonville
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
To be flexible and able to shift to new brands when needed and also to develop those relationships with the community
