Today we’d like to introduce you to Ron Leggett.
Hi Ron, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started with faith, passion, love for cooking and supportive family and friends. I have always enjoyed cooking and on my days off from DJJ. I would grill and cook for my family and friends events and just because. I would always talk about how I want my own restaurant and food truck. One day during one of our regular old dinners. I made the statement again but this time Shelia ask “so what you waiting for,let’s do a dinner sales and get started”. We set a date for dinner sale, decided on menu, set a goal writing out every detail on a dinner napkin and it all grew from there. To the Chef you see today, owner and Head Chef of Lil Ron’s Kitchen & Catering, a Johnson and Wales University graduate, former Sous Chef at Halls Chophouse, 7th year at Augusta Masters, 2nd year at Quail Hollow tournament and currently taskforce Sous Chef contracted in Hawaii at Westin Hapuna Beach Resort
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth. In the beginning I would have scheduling conflicts with my job and catering events. I would scheduled them on my days off but something would happen at work at I would be asked to come in. This became a big issue because one day I was not able to complete the event and still come to work. This is the day I stepped out on faith and started catering full time. This road was not easy either. you go through really busy seasons and you may even have some where you don’t have any or very few events. However, it is all worth it to be able to do what I love with the support of my wife, children, family and friends.

Lil Ron’s Kitchen and Catering is my answered pray. We are family operated providing catering services for any event big or small. We also offer in home private dining services. Our menus are tailored to customer’s request and can range from Ribs, chicken, potato salad to Steak , Salmon whatever the occasion we can create a menu to bring the clients vision to life.
I am most proud that I am able to serve my clients and potential clients with my family. I am also proud of the amazing people and businesses that I have met along this journey.
