Conversations with Kimberly Edwards

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Edwards.

Hi Kimberly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Kimberly Edwards, and I’m the owner of A Little Squeeze of Paradise, a mobile lemonade trailer built on faith, family, and the dream of creating something meaningful.

The idea for my business came from a desire to create something that brought people together while still allowing me to be present for my family. I wanted to offer more than just a drink—I wanted to create an experience that brought joy, connection, and a reason for people to slow down and enjoy the moment.

This business has become so much more than serving lemonade. As a wife and mom of four, I understand how easy it can be to lose yourself in caring for everyone else, and that part of motherhood is not always talked about. A Little Squeeze of Paradise has given me a creative outlet, a way to connect with my community, and an opportunity to rediscover a part of myself while still being the mom I want to be.

This journey started with a simple idea, a lot of determination, and a passion for creating something special. Like any small business, there have been challenges, but every event has helped me grow, build relationships, and learn what it truly means to be an entrepreneur.

One of the greatest joys has been watching this dream become something my children can be part of. They get to see firsthand what dedication, perseverance, hard work, and serving others look like. My hope is that I’m not only building a successful business, but also leaving them an example of what can happen when you step out in faith, pursue a dream, and refuse to give up.

A Little Squeeze of Paradise is more than a lemonade trailer—it’s a reminder that even simple ideas can create meaningful connections and bring a little joy to the people around us.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting something new always comes with challenges, but I believe the true measure is how you choose to move through them. One of the biggest challenges in building A Little Squeeze of Paradise has been getting my name out there, building trust, and showing people the quality and care that goes into every cup.

Starting a business also requires making big decisions, especially when it comes to investing financially, purchasing equipment, and ensuring you’re creating a product that people will come back for. In a growing market with many lemonade vendors, I’ve had to be intentional about finding what makes my business unique and why customers should choose us.

Through every challenge, I’ve tried to keep the right mindset. I walk into each event believing that “what is for me will be for me.” I trust that the Lord has guided me on this path, and I believe that when you follow the purpose placed on your heart, work hard, and stay faithful, everything will come together in the right time.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
When people ask what I do, I would say my work has always centered around caring for others. Today, that looks like running A Little Squeeze of Paradise while being a mom to my four beautiful children. Before starting my business, I was a mental health therapist in an elementary school, and I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina.

Working with children and families was something I truly loved. Creating a safe space where children felt heard, understood, and valued was always at the heart of my work. One of the most rewarding parts was watching a child walk into my office one way and leave feeling lighter, more confident, and more comfortable simply because they knew they were seen and supported.

I believe that same heart carries into A Little Squeeze of Paradise. While I’m serving lemonade, I’m also creating an experience—a welcoming space where people feel connected, cared for, and able to enjoy a simple moment of joy. Whether I was sitting with a child in a therapy room or serving a customer a fresh cup of lemonade, my goal has always been the same: to make people feel valued and bring a little more positivity into their day.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Looking ahead over the next 5-10 years, I see A Little Squeeze of Paradise continuing to grow while still staying true to the heart of what started it all—creating meaningful connections and bringing a little joy to people’s day. I definitely see my children being involved in the business in some way. Right now, they help wash lemons and put stickers on cups. If you ever see a sticker that’s a little crooked, you already know who helped with that one! I love that they get to be part of this journey and learn the value of hard work, creativity, and serving others.

As the business grows, I would love to expand our presence at more community events, private gatherings, and celebrations while continuing to build a recognizable brand that people associate with quality and a memorable experience. I also hope to explore new opportunities that allow us to bring our lemonade to even more people while creating something that my children can be proud to be part of.

Ultimately, my vision is not to just build a business, but to build a legacy that teaches my children that with faith, dedication, and perseverance, a simple idea can become something much bigger than they ever imagined.
