Check Out Becki Ahl’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Becki Ahl.

Hi Becki, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
People are often surprised when they hear how I became an income tax accountant because my life originally revolved around motocross racing. My children were deeply involved in the sport, and most family time was spent traveling to races, training, and supporting that lifestyle.

Because motocross required so much travel and flexibility, I knew I needed a career that could adapt to that lifestyle while still providing stability and growth. I was drawn to taxes and accounting because it offered both structure and flexibility. What started as a practical decision quickly turned into something I genuinely enjoyed.

I discovered that I loved helping people understand their finances, solve problems, and feel less stressed during tax season. Over time, accounting became more than just a career choice — it became something I was passionate about.

Today, I’m grateful for the path that brought me here. Racing with my children taught us perseverance, accountability, and how to perform under pressure, all of which have helped shape the way I serve my clients. Motocross is still a huge part of my life. The tradition continues with my grandchildren, and I now enjoy watching the next generation share the same passion for racing, family, and dedication that shaped so much of my own journey.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, my career journey has been fairly smooth, though it has certainly come with some challenges along the way. One of the biggest aspects of working in tax accounting is adapting to the constant changes in IRS regulations and state tax laws each year. Another significant challenge was experiencing the loss of an incredible business partner, which was both personally and professionally difficult. Despite those hardships, each experience has helped me grow stronger, more knowledgeable, and more committed to serving my clients.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in personal income tax returns while also assisting small businesses with their tax preparation needs. I am known for building strong relationships with my clients, making the tax process less stressful, and taking the time to explain things in a way people can actually understand.

What sets me apart is my accessibility, attention to detail, and a personalized approach. I take pride in being responsive, thorough and available year- round. I understand that taxes are not one-size-fits-all, and I work hard to make sure every client feels supported, informed, and confident throughout the process.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Clients can work with me in whatever way is most convenient for them. I offer flexible options including in-person appointments, virtual communication, secure document sharing, and remote tax preparation. Whether someone prefers a hands-on experience or a simple streamlined process, I work to make tax preparation easy, efficient, and stress-free.
