Meet Bryson Miller of Rebellion Roads

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryson Miller.

Hi Bryson, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Rebellion Roads began with a simple goal: providing high-quality e-bike rentals so people could experience Charleston in a unique and enjoyable way. As our customer base grew, we saw an opportunity to offer something even more memorable, and we became one of the first companies to lead guided e-bike tours throughout the Charleston area. Today, our tours take guests through Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, the Old Village of Mount Pleasant, and the downtown Charleston peninsula, giving visitors a local perspective they wouldn’t get any other way.

Following the surge in the e-bike industry after COVID, we recognized another need in our community—professional e-bike service and repairs. We expanded by opening our e-bike repair department, which has since grown into the largest dedicated e-bike repair shop in Charleston. Throughout our growth, our focus has remained the same: delivering exceptional experiences, expert service, and helping more people enjoy the freedom of riding electric bikes.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced is something many local businesses in the Charleston area experience—seasonality. Tourism naturally slows during the winter months, so we’ve always had to plan carefully and prepare for those slower periods. Rather than seeing that as a setback, we looked for ways to diversify our business.

That’s what led us to expand our e-bike service and repair department. While rentals and tours are more seasonal, repairs and maintenance are needed year-round. By expanding into service and repairs, we’ve been able to keep a consistent flow of business throughout the year while continuing to support the growing e-bike community in Charleston.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Rebellion Roads, our mission is to help people experience Charleston in a fun, unique, and memorable way while providing the highest level of service in the e-bike industry. We specialize in premium e-bike rentals, guided e-bike tours, and professional e-bike sales and repairs, making us a one-stop destination for everything electric bikes.

What sets us apart is that we’re more than just a rental company. We were the first to offer guided e-bike tours throughout Charleston, taking guests through Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, the Old Village of Mount Pleasant, and the downtown peninsula. Our knowledgeable guides combine the excitement of riding with the history and beauty that make Charleston so special.

In addition to our tours and rentals, we’ve built the largest dedicated e-bike repair shop in Charleston. Our experienced technicians service virtually every major e-bike brand, giving both locals and visitors a trusted place for expert repairs, maintenance, and support.

What we’re most proud of is the reputation we’ve built within the community. Whether someone is visiting Charleston for the first time or has lived here for years, we strive to provide an exceptional experience, honest service, and a welcoming environment. Our goal has always been to make e-biking more accessible, enjoyable, and reliable for everyone, and we’re proud to have become a trusted name in Charleston’s cycling community.
