Hi Yung, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born in Valdosta, Ga. Emerging from the vibrant music scene of Greenville, South Carolina, Yung Mack is a dynamic artist making waves with his unique sound and authentic storytelling. With roots deeply embedded in the culture of the Carolinas, Yung Mack brings a fresh perspective to the music industry, blending elements of hip-hop, R&B, and soul.
His journey began in the heart of Greenville, where he honed his craft and developed a passion for creating music that resonates with listeners. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it hasn’t been a smooth road. I have experience plenty of setbacks with dealing with janky promoters and scammers when it comes to the music scene. I took it all as learning experiences and I keep striving to go after my music career.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m Hip Hop artist from South Carolina. That’s been recording and performing music since 2009. I’m most proud of doing my first couple of interviews one with Dee Dowdy in Fayetteville, NC for WCCG 104.5 fm in December of 2024 and most recently with Tampa Mystic in Atlanta for Industries Most Wanted June 2026
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
My industry outlook is on a solid upward path, with momentum in my local/regional scene and the potential to become one of the Carolinas’ notable hip hop voices. With consistency, expanded visibility in key markets, and intentional audience engagement, my outlook stays positive for breaking through regionally—and positioning for a bigger breakthrough.
My primary markets include Charlotte (NC). Greenville (SC).Greensboro (NC).Raleigh (NC). and other cities in the Carolinas, with some reach as far as Omaha (NE) and San Antonio (TX).
