Hi Anternei Jewel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey in the film industry by stepping out on faith and pursuing a passion I always had for acting and entertainment. Someone saw something in me and gave me great opportunity that I took and mastered it.
While balancing life as a nurse, mother, nail technician and a nursing student, I began networking, auditioning, and taking opportunities that led to roles in films streaming on Tubi. Since then, I’ve continued growing in the industry through faith, consistency, hard work, and dedication to my craft.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing my responsibilities as a mother, nursing student, and full-time employee, while pursuing acting. There were times when opportunities did not come easily, but I stayed consistent, kept networking, and continued believing in myself. I learned that success in the film industry requires patience, hard work, and perseverance even when doors do not open right away.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I currently work as an LPN while continuing my education to become a BSN RN, and I also pursue a career in acting and entertainment, as far as a licensed nail technician, I try to squeeze appointments in during my free time (which is rare). In nursing, I specialize in patient care, communication, and providing compassionate support to patients during difficult times. As an actress, I’ve been featured in multiple film projects streaming on Tubi and YouTube, and I continue building my career through networking, auditions, and consistency.
What I’m most proud of is being able to balance multiple roles while continuing to grow professionally and personally. I believe what sets me apart is my determination, versatility, and ability to connect with people both in healthcare and on screen. Whether I’m caring for patients or bringing a character to life, I always strive to make a positive impact.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that consistency and perseverance matter more than instant success. I’ve also learned the importance of believing in myself, being adaptable, and never being afraid to step outside of my comfort zone. We all get a little discouraged sometimes but with faith we can overcome anything. Every experience, whether in healthcare or entertainment, has helped me grow personally and professionally.
