Brent Bauer’s path in construction began years before Transform Charleston. He grew up in Ohio working in his family’s roofing business, where he learned the industry from the ground up and developed a deep respect for craftsmanship, hard work, and doing things the right way.
A year and a half ago, Brent brought that experience to Charleston and opened Transform Charleston with a vision to build more than a roofing company. Since then, the business has grown quickly into a team of more than 40 employees and is now known throughout the Lowcountry for luxury exterior and interior home services.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting Transform Charleston in a city with an already competitive construction industry came with real challenges, but Brent knew the foundation had to be the right team. He focused on building a group of people who shared the same commitment to excellence, service, and doing things the right way.
Brent credits God’s faithfulness and the dedication of the team for the growth the company has experienced. In a short time, Transform Charleston has begun to stand apart by the way the team cares for clients, communicates through each project, and delivers work they are proud to stand behind. Project by project, they have earned trust in the community and continued building a company rooted in faith, purpose, and service.

Transform Charleston Roofing, Siding & Gutters was founded by Brent Bauer, a builder and entrepreneur who brought years of roofing and construction experience with him from Ohio, where he grew up working in his family’s roofing business. After building a strong foundation in the industry, Brent moved to Charleston a year and a half ago with a vision to create something bigger than a traditional exterior renovation company.
What started as Transform Charleston has quickly grown into a team of more than 40 employees, serving homeowners across the Lowcountry with luxury interior and exterior renovation services. From roofing, siding, gutters, windows, doors, and decking to kitchens, bathrooms, stair systems, and full home transformations, the company is known for delivering high-quality craftsmanship with an elevated level of care, communication, and attention to detail.
At the heart of Transform Charleston is a commitment to doing business differently. The company is grounded in core values of stewardship, gratitude, service, and self-development. These values shape the way the team leads, serves clients, manages projects, and continues to grow.
