For Lisa Bass, real estate is more than a career-it’s a passion. With 20 years of real estate experience and over $50 million in sales, Lisa has built a reputation for providing outstanding service and delivering impressive results in the Charlotte & Raleigh markets.

Originally from Rochester, New York, Lisa has lived in Miami, New York City, and the US Virgin Islands. After graduating from the University of Miami, Lisa started her career in FinTech at a Fortune 100 investment bank in NYC. However, after spending several years as an Executive in corporate finance, Lisa realized her true calling was in real estate.

Lisa purchased her first property at the age of 25, and has since built a real estate portfolio of condos, townhomes, single-family homes, and an AirBnB as a Super Host. This hands-on experience in real estate investing fuels her dedication to helping her clients achieve their goals and make informed decisions.

Known for her integrity, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment, Lisa takes pride in guiding clients through what can often be a complex and emotional process. She tailors her approach to every client, whether they are a first-time homebuyer, an experienced investor, a high-end luxury buyer, or a retiree looking to downsize, ensuring their needs are heard and exceptional results are delivered every time.

Lisa lives in Charlotte with her husband, three kids, and their dog, Lucky, and is deeply involved in her local community serving as a fundraising chair for a local nonprofit. When she’s not busy with real estate, Lisa can be found cheering on her children at soccer games, cheerleading events, and marching band competitions.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My path to Luxury Real Estate was not traditional. I was not born into a wealthy family. In fact, I’m a first generation American, born to Chinese Jamaican immigrant parents who taught me everything about hard work. For 18 years, I followed a typical path and climbed the Corporate ladder into executive leadership. One day, I received the biggest promotion and raise of my life and was let go 3 months later. Fortunately, God had a plan. At 21, I was introduced to a book called Rich Dad Poor Dad. That book changed my life. My then fiancé and I bought a condo. Then a brownstone. We bought more properties in Charlotte, and even ran an Airbnb in the US Virgin Islands. All of that came with its ups and downs. In 2008, the housing crisis hit. Some of our properties were worth half of what we paid for them and we became accidental landlords. These experiences never scared me. They only shaped my journey. Even in the worst of times, my passion was real estate. During Covid, with no job, I was granted the gift of time. I used that time to get my license in both North and South Carolina. I couldn’t sit still. I immediately started selling for a luxury builder. I learned everything about new home construction. I also learned how to list and sell high end homes. After 3 years, I went out on my own, joined a luxury agency and earned a top producer badge. This is not my why. There’s a story behind each property I’ve ever bought. The first one was inspired by a book and a dream. Another was to move closer to a community in support of our Autistic son. Three kids and a dog later, we’ve relocated to Charlotte for schools, sports and opportunities. Today, we have an estate and portfolio for our children and generations to come. Now it’s my job to help others make real estate decisions no matter where they are in life. The good, the bad, the ugly and the exceptional. This is my why.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Multiple businesses?
As a Broker/Agent with The Agency Charlotte, I specialize in luxury residential real estate throughout the Charlotte area, serving clients across both North and South Carolina. My approach is rooted in creating a highly personalized, relationship-driven experience that blends elevated service, strong market expertise, and genuine care for every client I work with. Whether assisting first-time buyers, luxury sellers, or families relocating to the Carolinas, I strive to make the process feel seamless, intentional, and exciting from beginning to end.

In addition to residential real estate, I am the Owner/Partner of Carolinas Property Management, a property management company specializing in luxury and corporate rentals. Through our management company, we work closely with homeowners, investors, and corporate clients to provide hands-on, boutique-style management services focused on professionalism, communication, and maximizing property value while creating an exceptional experience for tenants and owners alike.

What sets my brands apart is the balance between elevated service and authentic relationships. I believe real estate is deeply personal, and I’m passionate about creating experiences where clients feel supported, informed, and genuinely valued throughout every stage of the process. From luxury listings and relocation services to investment properties and corporate housing, my goal is always to provide thoughtful guidance, attention to detail, and a level of service that people remember long after the transaction is complete.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is the trust and loyalty we’ve built within the Charlotte community and beyond. Much of our business comes from referrals, repeat clients, and long-standing relationships — something that reflects the care, consistency, and experience we aim to deliver every day.
