Hi Cheryl, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my firm with the goal of aiding individuals in achieving the new American dream, entrepreneurship. One way to achieve this goal is by applying purpose daily. Over the past decade, I have dedicated my platform to social development. The mindset of a person sets the tone for their lives. Where the mind goes, the body will follow. Oftentimes, we are overtaken by fear and doubt and that can be challenging to overcome. My firm exist to show others that entrepreneurship is theirs for the taking if they are willing to look within and mentally stabilize themselves. I am where I am today because I made the decision to invest in a mentor, pursue my master’s degree and start the business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’m glad you asked and the answer is absolutely not! I had so many setbacks, delays, sabotage in my finances through bad business connections, and a host of uncertain turns of events. Starting my firm has not been easy. I had to master my emotions in order to be successful. I made up in my mind that I could do hard things. I learned to be ok with being told no and that mistakes and failure are a part of the process. I got tired but I didn’t give up.

Luxus Consulting Firm offers services to individuals and businesses. For business owners, we have signature programs that engage in team building, management services, economics and education, and emotional mastery in the workplace. For individuals, we offer self-paced programs that focus on setting goals, boundaries and strategies that commit to the efforts that will bring them the quality of life that they desire. I offer speaking engagements where I bring charisma and motivation to my listeners, invoking change and a shift in the mindset of my audience. When I started my firm, the goal was to educate individuals to reinvent themselves to a higher way of thinking. I built my firm on the wings of a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education.” This is what sets me apart from the rest. How do you define success?
Success is a mindset and mindset is everything. I define success by the impact that you have on the people around you. I believe that true success starts from within. It’s not always about the outward platforms, but rather the quiet growth from the heart and soul that yields the greatest impact. Too often we put so much emphasis on the outward appearance and neglect the very essence of our being. True success is what happens within you and it manifests on the outside.
