Meet Alexandra Osborn Genovese of South Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Osborn Genovese.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Minor in Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2018. Immediately following graduation, I moved across the country to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where I spent my entire life visiting for family vacations. I obtained my real estate license in the Summer of 2018, and hung my license soon after. While I got my feet wet practicing real estate for the first year, I helped jump start the marketing for my family’s business, Twelve 33 Distillery, in early 2019. The first few years of my real estate career were steadily consistent as I built up my client base, learned the ropes, and joined a team to grow in a ever changing market. I started investing in real estate myself, with two properties under my belt by early 2021. I eventually made the move to independently join eXp Realty in August of 2021, where I partnered with the Greyfeather Group to jumpstart their brand in Myrtle Beach for the first time. The quickly built my network across the state, region, and country through eXp and improved marketing tactics as the years went on. I proudly have acheived ICON status within eXp each year I’ve been there – closing in on my 5th year and 5th ICON award. Few agents reach this status; I am very humbled and honored that I get to help clients achieve their goals and dreams as I also am followiny my own. Real estate can get complicated, markets are always changing, and trends grow and die fast. You must maintain a passion for it, while also always putting your clients first in every situation. On top of selling, I invest to grow my rental portfolio, and flip properties when opportunity presents itself. Living and breathing it keeps me up to date on what’s going on behind the scenes so I can always best inform my clients on the sale side as well. I truly love what I do!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Struggles always exist – but they never define us and always bring lessons. Some months see a lot of failure, but that’s what makes the achievements even more special. I treat every closing day with the same excitement and make sure my clients know what a great accomplishment it really is. If a deal falls apart, it is never the end of the road. There is ALWAYS a solution – even if it means pivoting completely!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Real Estate Sales, Investing, Flipping. I also am in charge of marketing for Twelve 33 Distillery, a growing distillery in Little River, South Carolina.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
The charm of being a “small beach town” – while also growing every single day! I think most people never want Myrtle Beach to lose it’s charm – but the growth helps our economy tremendously.
