Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Stevens.
Hi Michelle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I love working with children. I always have. Im the oldest of four. I am passionate about children, their safety, their education and upbringing in general. My background in business management, combined with years of hands-on childcare experience and ongoing education in child development, has shaped my agency model focused on exceptional standards, careful screening, and highly personalized placements. This balanced expertise allows the agency to support dual-career households, physicians, executives, and growing families seeking long-term childcare solutions that align with their lifestyle and parenting philosophy.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh it has been quite an experience. A lot of learning and challenges along the way. Ups and downs and sideways as well, but honestly I would have still chosen this journey. It has been a learning experience for me as well as my faith and patience.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in matching Childcare Providers with Families. We have services in: Sleep Consultants, Doulas, NCS, Family Assistant, House Manager and of course Long Term Place of Nannies. We also have babysitting services for those out of towners and date nights. I feel like the thing that sets my agency is apart is Im very hands on. I communicate, I ask questions and also I check in on my clients and candidates to make sure everything is going smoothly. Im most proud of myself for going after what I want to achieve. Being someone with profound hearing loss most do not have goals and set out to be independent. I want others with disabilities to know, “not to let it hold you back, achieve your goals and dream BIG”
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
You definitely have to be very patient, be consistent, learning, read, self – education. I would say being patient and consistent are the biggest factors in running a business.
