Hi Sashani, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Sashani Ewar-Cargill is a dreamer with purpose—one who chose not to follow a predetermined path, but to courageously create her own. A Visual Arts educator, entrepreneur, content creator, wife, and mother, her life’s work is rooted in passion, service, and an unshakable belief in the power of education to transform lives. Her academic journey shaped her into the driven, disciplined, and charismatic woman she is today. Jamaican-born and excellence-driven, Sashani is a proud alumna of Rusea’s High School and The Mico University College.
Her calling as an educator led her to serve at Munro College and Cherryvale Elementary, where her impact was both measurable and meaningful. With over a decade of teaching experience spanning early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels, Sashani has consistently inspired students to believe in their abilities and strive for excellence. In 2018, she made history at Munro College by ending a ten-year drought in the Visual Arts department, achieving a 100% pass rate in the CSEC Examination—becoming the youngest and second female educator in the department to do so.
Her excellence did not go unnoticed. In 2020, she was named Induction Teacher of the Year at Cherryvale Elementary and was also nominated for the same honor within Sumter School District, South Carolina. In 2021, she was again recognized for her dedication and impact with a nomination for Teacher of the Year at Cherryvale Elementary.
It was through her own pursuit of growth, combined with a fierce desire to explore the world, that the vision for REACH Educational Services was born in 2020. Sashani recognized a global need: remarkable educators, professionals, and students seeking a single, accessible space to connect, learn, and thrive. With purpose and passion, she brought these communities together, creating REACH—an online platform designed to empower academic and professional growth and unlock potential without borders.
Since its inception, REACH Educational Services has served over 2,500 clients across more than 12 countries, standing as a testament to what is possible when vision, education, and service align.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it was not. My greatest challenge stemmed from being an immigrant. As a result, support for my services was not immediate; however, over time, as I became more established, I gradually gained increased support.

Founded in 2020, the organization provides live online learning experiences designed to support academic success, career advancement, and lifelong learning. The platform serves learners from multiple countries, including Jamaica, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and several Caribbean nations.
Our mission is to leverage technology to educate tomorrow’s leaders and equip them with the skills necessary to compete and thrive in a rapidly evolving global environment.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
My perspective on risk has evolved through my journey of building Reach Educational Services. Starting any business involves uncertainty, but starting one in a new country as an immigrant adds another layer of risk. When I first launched Reach Educational Services, support did not immediately flow to the business. Building trust within a new community took time, and there were moments when the path forward felt uncertain. However, I believed strongly in the vision behind the organization—to make quality education accessible to students regardless of their location.
One of the biggest risks I took was building Reach Educational Services as an online learning platform that would serve students across different countries. At the time, online education was still gaining traction in many communities, and there was skepticism about whether students and parents would fully embrace virtual learning. Despite that uncertainty, I believed that technology could remove many of the barriers that students face when trying to access quality educational support.
Looking back, that risk turned into one of the greatest strengths of the organization. Over time, as students began to see real results and share their experiences, support for the brand grew steadily. What initially felt like a challenge ultimately helped shape the resilience and credibility of the business.
For me, risk is not about making reckless decisions; it is about having the courage to pursue a meaningful vision even when the outcome is not guaranteed. I believe in taking calculated risks—those grounded in purpose, preparation, and a clear understanding of the impact you want to create. Without those risks, Reach Educational Services would not have been able to grow into the global learning community it is today.
