Daily Inspiration: Meet Karla Reeves

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla Reeves.

Hi Karla, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been a blend of professional expertise and personal calling. I have over 12 years of experience working in accounting, bookkeeping, and contracts, and I hold an MBA in Accounting along with degrees in financial services and accounting. That background gave me a strong foundation in business, structure, and organization.

At the same time, I’ve always been deeply drawn to wellness, energy work, and helping people reconnect with themselves. Over the years, I began studying and practicing holistic modalities such as Reiki, sound healing, intuitive development, and other mind-body wellness practices. What started as a personal exploration eventually grew into something much bigger.

Today, I am the founder of Magical Moments Holistic Wellness, where I create trauma-informed, nervous system–supportive experiences designed to help people slow down, regulate, and reconnect with their inner wisdom. My work blends practical grounding with holistic practices such as energy healing, sound baths, breathwork, and intuitive guidance.

My path hasn’t been a straight line, but each chapter, both the structured corporate side and the intuitive healing side, has shaped how I serve today. I believe true wellness happens when we honor both the practical and the spiritual aspects of ourselves, and my mission is to create spaces where people can feel supported, seen, and empowered on their healing journey.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, there were periods of uncertainty, trial and error, and learning as I went.

One of the biggest challenges was finding the right space to grow my work. In the beginning, I moved between different locations and setups while trying to build something sustainable. Eventually, I was able to secure a brick-and-mortar wellness studio, which was a huge milestone. Having a dedicated space allows me to create a calm, intentional environment for clients, but getting there required patience, persistence, and a lot of faith in the vision.

Another challenge was identifying my niche. The wellness industry is broad, and early on I was exploring different ways to serve people. Over time, I realized that my true focus is helping people regulate their nervous systems and reconnect with themselves through trauma-informed, holistic experiences. Once that clarity came, everything started to align more naturally.

Funding is always a real consideration when building a business, especially in wellness. Much of the growth has come from reinvesting in the business and building step by step rather than overnight. While that path can be challenging, it has also made the journey incredibly meaningful because every milestone represents dedication, resilience, and belief in the work.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder of Magical Moments Holistic Wellness, where I create trauma-informed, nervous system, supportive wellness experiences designed to help people slow down, regulate, and reconnect with themselves. My work blends holistic practices such as Reiki, sound healing, breathwork, and intuitive guidance with a strong focus on emotional well-being and nervous system care.

One of the things that makes my work unique is the environment I’ve intentionally created. While many wellness spaces can feel clinical, my studio is designed to feel warm, restorative, and nurturing. Clients are invited to truly relax and settle in, whether that’s enjoying a thoughtfully crafted herbal drink, using a sauna blanket, charcuterie boards, experiencing aromatherapy, applying a soothing face mask, or resting with a heated eye mask during a session. These small sensory elements help the body shift into a state of safety and calm, which is where real healing and restoration can begin.

I specialize in creating experiences that combine multiple modalities so people leave feeling both relaxed and empowered. Over time, I’ve become known for the way I hold space for people. Clients often tell me they feel deeply seen, understood, and able to finally exhale when they walk through the door.

What I’m most proud of is building a wellness space that feels both nurturing and accessible. I’ve worked intentionally to create an environment where people from many different backgrounds feel welcome and supported on their journey.

What sets my work apart is the balance between intuition and structure. I bring both a grounded, practical perspective and a deeply intuitive approach to my sessions. That combination allows me to meet people where they are and create experiences that are personalized, meaningful, and restorative.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can work with me in several ways. The primary way is by visiting Magical Moments Holistic Wellness and booking one of the wellness experiences I offer. My sessions are designed to help people slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with themselves through practices like sound healing, Reiki, breathwork, and restorative wellness experiences.

I also welcome collaborations with other wellness practitioners, community organizations, and local businesses who are interested in creating meaningful wellness experiences for their communities. I enjoy partnering on workshops, group experiences, and special events that support collective well-being.

For those who want to stay connected or support the work, following along online, sharing the space with others, and simply spreading the word about the studio makes a huge difference. My goal is to continue building a community-centered space where people can come to rest, reset, and feel supported.
