Today we’d like to introduce you to Dillon And Breanna Howard.
Hi Dillon and Breanna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Dillon and Breanna both worked in the commercial construction industry. They both knew they wanted to build something of their own and something to pass down to their children. While in the industry, they realized how string the need was for a reliable dumpster service. At times, crews would be waiting on dumpsters or even sent home due to long lead times for an empty dumpster. After two years of research and a new baby just welcomed to the world they decided it was now or never. They took leap of faith and have never looked back.
They have grown from and old truck and 10 dumpsters to 45 dumpsters and two new trucks that help get the job done. They now have two part time employees and a fully time employee. They strive to grow again within 2026 and are always looking for ways to be involved in the community.
They pride themselves on building a legacy and showing customers the EWS way. With customers calling to ask when they can do a job they have realized running this business different that other companies is paying off and keeping loyal customers around. EWS is here to make a difference in the job-site and help to keep things running smoothly.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This road has been far from smooth. We truly believe it is a strong story to our testimony and faith. Our first truck we bought was a 2002 international that was well seasoned. At the time taking the leap to leave a full-time job and start a business. This is the only way we could afford to do it. Our first day running the brakes gave out. At this point, we realize the truck was unsafe and took it straight to the shop that cost us $10,000 just to get all new brake lines to make the truck safe for us to run. Thanks to the support of our friends and family. We started off extremely strong and extremely busy. We knew right away we needed more dumpsters. We ordered more dumpsters and within six months we knew we needed another truck. One that was a little more reliable and at times we needed two trucks running already. We bought another truck and a trailer system because at this point it was still the only way we can afford to do this. Three months in the transmission of the new truck blew. It was towed to the shop. We were back down to one truck and a very busy commercial construction job running. We worked long nights to make sure our client was taken care of. With long wait times for our truck to be fixed we had no other choice than to trade and get another truck.
After about a year of running, we were about to invest and start building our company credit. We bought a new international and a few months later invested in even more dumpsters and a large tandems truck.
In the last 2.5 years we have faced many trails but in the end we have always made it work and refocused when needed.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising that others may not know about us is that when Dillon and Breanna first met they decided they were over living a life of corruption. At that time Dillon worked for the railroad and Breanna worked as a MA at Shriners. Overnight, we decided to leave our jobs and live off savings until we figured out what we wanted to do. We made it work for about 6 months and then landed in commercial construction. Crazy? Yeah. But it worked out, thankfully!
