Check Out Roni Haskell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roni Haskell.

Hi Roni, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I came to real estate through design and construction, not sales. I earned my degree in interior design with a focus on kitchens and baths, then worked at an architecture firm after relocating to Charleston. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for how homes are built, how neighborhoods evolve, and why details matter far beyond what you see on the surface. I fell in love with the Lowcountry quickly and knew this was where I wanted to put down roots.

I started my real estate career on the new construction side, spending seven years managing community sales and working closely with builders, engineers, and municipalities. That foundation gave me a strong understanding of land use, development practices, codes, and the longterm vision behind communities, not just individual homes. Over time, I transitioned into general brokerage, bringing that same knowledge and structure into helping buyers and sellers navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

My approach is rooted in connection and context. Buying or selling a home is never just about the property, it is about lifestyle, community, and long term value. I take pride in guiding clients with clarity and care, and in connecting them with trusted local professionals so they feel supported well beyond the closing table.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The 2008 Housing Crisis was an interesting time! Every level of business brings new challenges, but I love growth, both professionally and personally.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I work as a real estate broker and team leader serving the Charleston and Summerville area, specializing in residential sales, luxury properties, and community focused buying and selling. I am best known for my deep local knowledge and my ability to help clients understand not just a home, but the lifestyle, long term value, and context surrounding it. My background in interior design, architecture, and new construction allows me to guide clients with clarity and confidence through every stage of the process, whether they are purchasing a first home, building new, or selling a long held property.

What I am most proud of is the trust my clients place in me and the relationships that continue long after the transaction is complete. I believe real estate is personal, and my role is to be an advocate, educator, and connector throughout the journey. I take great care in understanding each client’s goals and matching them with the right resources, from contractors and designers to attorneys and local business owners, so they feel supported well beyond the closing table.

What sets me apart is my ability to combine technical expertise with genuine connection – and my background in interior design. I approach each transaction with professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence, while never losing sight of the human side of the experience. My goal is always to make the process feel informed, thoughtful, and as seamless as possible.

How do you define success?
I define success as doing meaningful work with integrity while staying rooted in the life and people that matter most. Professionally, success looks like guiding clients with honesty, clarity, and care, and knowing they feel confident and supported long after the transaction is complete. It is about building trust, not just closing deals.

Personally, success means balance. Being present for my family, staying connected to my community, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally. When I can look back knowing I helped others make wise decisions, strengthened relationships, and contributed positively to the place I call home, that is success to me.
