Check Out David & Marie Brinkley’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to David & Marie Brinkley.

Hi David & Marie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We originally purchased a horse barn along with thirty-three acres of rolling countryside to use for agricultural purposes, but once we saw the view, we knew it was too beautiful not to share. The building itself was originally a horse barn so we cleared it all out and upgraded the interior, adding a kitchen, bar area, bridal suite, and groom’s room. We also added the courtyard area to help lead guests to the back ceremony area. An outdoor amphitheater was designed and built to frame the stunning backdrop. This was in 2021. In September of 2023, we built our cabins. The large home was already on the property so we updated the inside and built the additional 4 smaller cabins. We added a putting green, firepit, and sound system to help make the space more enjoyable.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall, It has been a smooth road. We are more in the country so we do run into some issues related to that but we try to keep everything as updated as possible. We noticed some power issues during surrounding storms so we purchased a Generac generator that is hardwired into the venue to avoid any power issues. We do always try to keep things updated.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
David was a financial investment advisor before retiring after 40 years. During this time, David and Marie also started moving into real estate with rental homes and building homes to sell. Through real estate they also bought farmland for agriculture which is what most of the 33 acres of the venue is used for.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Family is one of the most important things to David and Marie. They have great relationships with their children and grandchildren. With family being so important to them, they wanted to ensure that the venue would be a place where some of the most important family memories could take place in a beautiful setting.
