Hidden Gems: Meet Ricardo Joe of The Strength Blueprint

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo Joe.

Hi Ricardo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I got introduced to fitness from playing football, but after my playing days were over, I let myself go and became out of shape. That period was a wake-up call for me. I realized that if I didn’t take my health and fitness seriously, it would eventually catch up to me.

I locked in on my nutrition and training, and over time it completely changed my life. It was not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. That transformation is what pushed me to become a personal trainer. I wanted to help people get in shape, live longer, and avoid making the same mistakes I did.

Today, I help people reach their full potential through online training, and I’ve recently launched FitFest. FitFest is a 45 minute, community based workout held every Saturday. It’s designed for all fitness levels and removes barriers by making it simple to just show up and move. The goal is simple: bring people together, build confidence, and help as many people as possible take control of their health.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is getting people to fully commit. A lot of people want change, but they underestimate the level of consistency and ownership it takes to actually get results.

Once people realize that they have to be 100% committed. Not perfect, but consistent, that’s when the shift happens. When they buy into the process and trust it, everything changes. Seeing that mindset switch is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, because that’s when real, lasting transformation starts.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Strength Blueprint is an online fitness program built to help people build muscle and burn fat the right way. What we specialize in is sustainable muscle building without extreme dieting, burnout, or the traditional “dirty bulk” approach that so many people think is necessary.

A lot of trainers push the idea that getting bigger requires overeating anything in sight. I’m known for teaching the opposite: strategic training, intentional nutrition, and progressive overload that allows people to add muscle while staying lean, healthy, and athletic. That philosophy is the foundation of The Strength Blueprint and what truly sets us apart.

Beyond online coaching, FitFest is an extension of the brand and mission. It’s a more intimate and in-person experience. A 45-minute, community based workout designed for all fitness levels that still focuses on building muscle and confidence. It brings the online message into real life and removes barriers by making fitness accessible, welcoming, and community driven.

What I’m most proud of, brand wise, is that The Strength Blueprint isn’t about quick fixes or extremes. It’s about education, consistency, and long-term results. I want readers to know that this brand is built on helping people change not just their bodies, but their mindset around fitness so the results actually last.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
ne of my favorite childhood memories is playing football with my cousin and my uncle. My uncle would play quarterback for both of us, and my cousin and I would go head-to-head. Each of us got four chances to score a touchdown, then we’d switch sides and my uncle would throw for the other person.

My cousin was faster and slimmer than me, so he usually won but those games never felt like losing. It was competitive, fun, and full of laughter. Looking back, that time taught me a love for the game and for competition, and it’s a memory I’ll always cherish because it was about family, effort, and just enjoying the moment.
