Today we’d like to introduce you to Marissa Reilly.
Hi Marissa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
This studio began as a shared journey built on friendship, our Christian Faith, and a love for movement. This studio grew from many conversations, shared workouts, and a common desire to create something meaningful. We believe the body was designed to move with purpose and resilience. Our focus is on dynamic, functional movement that supports real life—helping people build strength, stability, mobility, and confidence in ways that carry over beyond the studio walls. We see our bodies as a gift from God, and stewarding them well means moving intentionally, meeting people where they are, and honoring the process rather than chasing perfection.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Just as any business, we have definitely experienced some thorns! This opportunity presented itself within 32 days of fully having to take over another studio. At this point, it was three moms, a ton of ideas, and a full life of homeschooling six children! We did not even have an LLC. Finding the time within our already hectic schedules to make sure we put in the work to create the exact vision we had for our studio definitely made for a bumpy road. However, we never gave up hope, kept our prayers intentional, and always leaned on one another when thorns came upon our roses. In 32 very long days, we held our grand opening and the outcome was bigger than we ever could have imagined.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Movement Studio?
At The Movement Studio, fitness is about more than workouts. Our classes are designed to educate and empower, helping students understand how their bodies move and how to move well. We aim to create a welcoming, supportive environment rooted in encouragement, prayer, and genuine community—much like the friendships that started it all. Through thoughtful programming and faith-centered values, our hope is to help individuals and families grow stronger, improve function and balance —one movement at a time.
We specialize in Yoga/Barre/Pilates.
Our instructors are a collective of exceptional women who deeply embody our values. Each brings extensive knowledge, intuitive guidance, and a genuine commitment to helping every client feel supported, comfortable, and confident from the moment they walk through our doors.
What we’re most proud of at The Movement Studio isn’t just the studio — it’s the way three busy women came together, listened to one another, respected different perspectives, and built something stronger because of it. This space exists because collaboration, trust, and heart led the way.
What sets us apart is simple: the client comes first. From the moment you walk in, every detail of the experience is designed to help you feel welcome, supported, and completely at ease. We believe people thrive when they feel comfortable, and our teaching reflects that.
