Today we’d like to introduce you to MaryAnna Heacock.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is MaryAnna. I am a mom of two girls. When I was pregnant with my oldest I had photos taken during my pregnancy and after. The photos were beautiful but quite pricey. So I decided I would teach myself photography and be able to provide the photos myself. Once I began I very quickly realized it was becoming a passion of mine. I began taking photos of my family and friends and slowly began to make it a business. I strive on giving affordable photos to families while enjoying the session at the same time!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The process definitely wasn’t easy. I had some bumps and would say still have some today. The main struggle I would say has been having many other photographers around my area. There are many new and veteran photographers out there, with many different styles and pricing. I have found by staying true to my style, and what I offer I am able to maintain returning and new customers.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in family and couple photography. I do love doing all types of photos and challenging myself as well as learning new things. I would have to say my favorite photo sessions to do would be sunrise…just something about a peaceful morning on the beach enjoying a photo session while taking in the beauty. My main goal has been to provide families with family photos they could afford, enjoy and love to always look back on. What separates my work from others is I do not use photoshop of any kind. I do not alter looks or skies. What you see is what you get, and you will still love it!
What matters most to you?
What matters the most when it comes to my business, is the families being happy. From start to finish. I do my best to make the process as easy as possible, enjoyable and comfortable!
Pricing:
- Basic sessions start as low as $100 for 30 minutes. Price goes up depending on time needed and location!
- Wedding packages are not set prices. They are based around location, time needed and expectations.
- You get all photos back from sessions, you do not pay for additional photos.
