Life & Work with Shannon Fleischman of Easley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Fleischman.

Hi Shannon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was in retail for 25 years and always had a passion for motorcycles and cars. my father got sick with cancer and I took loa to take care of him from my retail job. he passed away and they wanted to give me less money to come back and I decided to take the chance to start my own motorcycle shop and this week is actually 10 years. i’m actually better talking then writing. fyi

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
it is always a struggle starting a new business. I started with no employees no lifts and not knowing what was going to become of it. I finally got my first customers bought a lift hired a mechanic and kept growing. bought 2 more lifts hired another mechanic wound up renting upstairs for our apparel. we wound up moving to a bigger shop had a new mechanic had more lifts. and the city was giving us trouble about noise so we wound up moving again. we were in a 2300 sq ft building and building lots of bikes. then i got bored and sick of florida and packed up and moved to south carolina with my mechanics. again better in person.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
i love to design the bikes and transform what they looked like to what we change the to. my mom is a oil painter and i think i got it from her.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
come to the shop or see me at events and tell me what they wish to colloboarate
