Today we’d like to introduce you to Kebbeh Autry.
Hi Kebbeh, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I spent many years working in structured professional environments for over a decade. Those experiences shaped me in important ways and gave me a strong foundation, but over time I realized I was craving something more creative, and more connected to the natural world.
I wanted to create spaces where children and families could step away from constant busyness, and reconnect with nature in a way that feels approachable and joyful.
Magnolia has grown into workshops, programs, and educational offerings that blend nature play, creativity, and holistic learning. But Magnolia is ultimately about connection to nature, to ourselves, and to one another.
I’m still building and learning as I go, but the work feels aligned and purposeful.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Actually, it’s been pretty smooth. For me, Magnolia has always been more about building personal connections than growing a following just for the sake of business. I try to be intentional in everything I do, which sometimes means the growth is slower than other paths, but it feels more meaningful and authentic.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At Magnolia, I create hands-on, nature-based experiences for children and families, blending gardening, herbalism, art, and mindful play.
I’m known for making learning playful and memorable, and I’m most proud of building a space where families can slow down and connect with nature.
What sets Magnolia apart from other places is that children don’t just do activities, they have full, immersive experiences. They learn, explore, and express their creativity in a hands-on, playful, and meaningful way.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I feel truly blessed for the incredible support I’ve received along the way. My husband and children have been my biggest supporters.
Beyond my family, community members, a local plant nursery, and other friends and advocates have supported Magnolia from the very beginning, helping to host, promote, and encourage the work I do. Their support has been invaluable in helping Magnolia grow and thrive.
