Check Out Jason Christensen’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Christensen.

Hi Jason, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Father left Tile Center wearhouse when I was around 5 years old to install tile. He would take me on jobs when he could and got to be a regular thing as I got older.

At 12 years old I would work weekends and summers.

I got my High school diploma at 16 and started in tile full time.

2018 I took 2 ½ summer seasons break from tile to install above ground swimming pools which improved my communication and relationship skills.

End of summer 2020 I dove back into tile head first working solo.

May of 2021 obtained my national Certification
Certified Tile Installer #1707

2022 became member of NTCA(National Tile Contractors Association)

Since, I continue to advance my skills by accepting challenging projects, attend trainings, and stay connected with colleagues across the industry to provide the best experience to my clients

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Self doubt
Business skills
Understanding costs of business
Slow seasons
Finding the right clientele

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I help homeowners add elegance and equity through upscale tile installations.

I specialize in custom tile showers

Most proud of a rustic style shower featuring double barn doors crafted from wood-look porcelain plank tiles with depth (3D). The raised portion perimeters were trimmed in a bronze colored aluminum profile to up the appeal.

What sets me apart:

Knowledge
Communication
Meticulous detail

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
4-5 years old, sitting on my grandparents carport swing singing and swinging with Granny.
