Exploring Life & Business with Bently Brazel of BentlysBudgetBuilds

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bently Brazel.

Hi Bently, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Electronics has always been a passion of mine. It began thanks to my older Half brother, Bret, and his cousin Davi, who used to bring their desktop PCs over to each other’s houses as kids/teens. Because of this, I was introduced to lots of tech most people my age never got to see, and taught how it worked. When they started the shop back when I was 13, I would go and help out, as well as learn even more repairs. Fast forward to my brother leaving to pursue other business ventures, and me now running the repair side of the business. My goal has always been to offer repairs and knowledge at an affordable price to my neighbors, and I foresee myself doing this until I no longer can.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were some road blocks for sure. Apparently trying to revive a business when you have no money is a challenge, but at this point I’ve built a fairly strong clientele base, and was able to secure partnerships with several industry giants, specifically Silicon Power for my RAM and storage needs, as well as Secure Data for the more difficult data recovery jobs.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Hardware repairs are my specialty. Cellphones, Desktops, arcade games, or just random circuit boards people bring in. We’re known for our passion in the industry, and our helpful mindset. This isn’t a job, it’s what we love to do, and we’re glad to help members of our community in the process. When we aren’t working on devices for our clients, we generally work on our own projects, such as making our own arcade game or restoring retro arcade games.

What’s next?
For the future I would love to be able to have a bigger inventory of desktops that aren’t bogged down by a bunch of software that is not needed and slows the device down. Also, spreading awareness of free program alternatives since most of the tech giants have decided to go to subscriptions models.
