Today we’d like to introduce you to Teaira Mack.
Hi Teaira, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into holistic wellness began in 2018 during one of the most challenging seasons of my life. I was newly married, working a demanding corporate job, and searching for a way to manage my mental health that felt sustainable and whole. Diagnosed with Bipolar I at the age of 12, I had spent most of my life being shown only one approach to healing. Over time, I realized that approach alone was not enough for me.
Eventually, I reached a point where I knew there had to be more. I had been searching outside of myself for understanding, relief, and balance—when in truth, I was the missing piece to my own healing.
Meditation quite literally saved my life. It became the foundation that allowed me to regain control over my mind, reconnect with my body, and understand my emotions rather than be ruled by them. As I deepened my practice, my journey naturally expanded into herbs that supported my mental health, crystals, and other metaphysical tools that helped restore balance and alignment. Every modality I embraced came from lived experience, not trend—and every product or service I now offer was born from either my own personal need or the needs of someone I loved deeply.
Before I ever had a business name, I was already walking in my purpose. I felt divinely guided to serve others through healing work, even when I resisted it. For two years, my family encouraged me to share my gifts publicly, and for two years I said no. That changed when I created a spiritual bath for my mother. She posted it on Facebook, and my cousin shared the post, announcing that I sold them—without my knowledge. That single moment unknowingly marked the birth of Rooted Vibrationz.
In 2021, I lost my corporate job and stood at a crossroads: return to a familiar path or fully trust my God-given purpose. I chose purpose. I gave myself six months to sink or swim. By December 2021, I signed the lease for my first wellness suite, and in January 2022, I hosted my first grand opening.
The vision continued to expand. I later moved into my own building and opened a Wellness Center alongside my mother and business partner, Dr. Vanessa Guyton, Executive Director of HUSH NO MORE. The center has now been open for nearly three years. I offer a wide range of services, with Reiki, Yoni steaming, and sound healing among the most requested. I have hosted over ten wellness retreats, facilitated workshops for organizations, trained military personnel in holistic modalities, and led meditation classes for children.
As the work deepened, so did the impact.
Through the development of my product line and the creation of a full apothecary within the Wellness Center, I have witnessed profound transformations. Couples have conceived after struggling with fertility, individuals have found relief from high blood pressure, anxiety, and chronic migraines, and many have reclaimed their sense of empowerment through herbal and energetic healing. By teaching others how to safely and intuitively work with herbs—both medicinally and metaphysically—I help shift people from dependence into self-trust. When paired with Reiki, this work consistently produces not just healing, but personal growth and leadership.
My motto, “We heal from the root,” reflects my belief that lasting wellness requires addressing the source—not just the symptoms. Equally important is my guiding principle, “I don’t create followers, I cultivate leaders.” My goal is that by the time someone completes their work with me, they feel confident, informed, and capable of carrying these healing practices forward in their own lives.
At the heart of everything I do is community. I work closely within the community to ensure healing is accessible—especially for those who may not otherwise be exposed to or able to afford unconventional wellness paths. This work is rooted in faith, alignment, and service.
Looking ahead to 2026, my vision includes expanding into larger organizations to support employees navigating burnout, chronic stress, and the pressures of life both inside and outside the workplace. Through mindfulness workshops and holistic wellness programming, I aim to equip individuals with practical tools that support emotional regulation, mental clarity, and sustainable success across their many roles.
Rooted Vibrationz is not just a business—it is a calling. And I remain committed to answering that call with intention, integrity, and love.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of my greatest challenges has been learning how to properly set boundaries while balancing my personal life and my business. I had to learn those boundaries early on in order to sustain the work over the last six years. I often refer to myself as a people mechanic—working deeply with others’ emotions, energy, and healing—which means I must be intentional about maintaining my own spiritual cleanliness and protection. Pouring into others requires constant self-awareness so that I don’t neglect my own well-being in the process.
Building a full-time business without capital or investors has also been challenging. Every step has been fueled by hard work, faith, tears, and moments of joy. When the weight feels heavy, I remind myself that the impact is far greater than the sacrifice. As long as I continue to move in purpose, discipline, and alignment, I trust that growth will follow and that the right people will not only find me—but truly understand the mission behind the work.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What sets me apart is that every service I offer is a complete and intentional experience. There is no one-size-fits-all approach—each session is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs, energy, and intentions of the individual. I work with men, women, and children from all backgrounds, creating safe and supportive spaces that allow anyone—even those who may arrive skeptical—to experience the transformative power of energy healing.
I am especially known for my Wellness Retreats and Sound Healing sessions, which bring people together in powerful ways, foster meaningful connection, and provide deeply personal experiences of holistic healing. Beyond one-on-one work, I host workshops and community events designed to encourage growth, reflection, and alignment within inclusive and nurturing environments.
One of the accomplishments I am most proud of is the training workshops I have facilitated at multiple military installations across Texas, Louisiana, and South Carolina. Through this work, I have trained victim advocates who carry immense emotional and mental stress in their day-to-day roles. These sessions provided them with holistic tools to support not only the victims and survivors they serve, but also their own well-being.
Witnessing the shift in their energy, posture, and presence after just one class and a sound healing experience has been profoundly moving for me. Being invited into military spaces to introduce holistic alternatives is a significant milestone. It signals a growing openness to unconventional healing approaches alongside traditional medication and therapy. I am deeply grateful to be among the first to help integrate this shift and contribute to meaningful change within such impactful institutions.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was very outgoing and talkative. Around middle school, that began to change as I started figuring out who I was and where I fit. I often felt different, like I didn’t quite belong. I remember taking personality assessments that showed I was highly attuned to taste, smell, and touch—something I didn’t fully understand at the time, but now recognize as deep sensory and energetic sensitivity.
As a child, I was very intuitive. I had vivid dreams and perceived things that others didn’t, but no one really helped me understand or cultivate that part of myself. Instead, I internalized those experiences, which sometimes led to anger and confusion. I grew up in a very religious household—my grandmother was a minister, and church was central to our lives. That foundation gave me faith and structure, but as I entered my teenage years, I felt called to explore beyond what I had been taught.
My mother played a pivotal role by allowing me space to explore the world and different ways of thinking. She kept spiritual books around the house, and through her, I was introduced to ideas outside of traditional religion. When I began reading about Buddhism, I came across a line that said, “You are the creator of your own destiny.” That idea stayed with me and marked the beginning of my journey of self-discovery. While my roots were grounded in the church through my grandmother, my mother’s openness allowed me to expand my understanding of spirituality. That balance—between faith, curiosity, and exploration—shaped who I am today and laid the foundation for the healing work I now do.
I was also a military brat, which meant I grew up surrounded by many different cultures and communities. While there were times I struggled with the constant moving and change, I’m grateful my parents gave me that exposure. It taught me to be open, adaptable, and understanding of people from all walks of life—lessons that continue to deeply influence the way I connect with and serve my community today.
