Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Engle.
Hi Kim, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Kim , her husband and their twins moved to Campobello, South Carolina from sunny Dunedin, Florida—craving mountains, fresh air, and a little more room to breathe. I left behind my successful massage practice, Pure Harmony, not imagining I’d open another wellness space anytime soon.
But as I began seeing clients again, I felt called to create a warm, nurturing space that offered a variety of sessions to calm the nervous system and bring comfort to both body and mind. That gentle pull is what inspired Wildflower Wellness—a welcoming place where relaxation and heart-centered care come first.
Kim “I’m incredibly grateful for my time working with Candice at Clover Acupuncture. Her support and
Encouragement – the trust of our amazing clients — gave me the confidence to take the leap and create something of my own.”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ll be honest—decision-making has always been a struggle for me, and it’s definitely been one of my biggest obstacles. ( color of paint on the wall to what products to buy) But I’m working on it every day.
The wonderful team at Wildflower is always there to help me make decisions
I absolutely love the healing work I do, and learning how to turn that passion into a sustainable livelihood for my family has been a journey. It’s taught me that passion and responsibility can co-exist beautifully when you lead with heart and stay committed to growth.
Whenever things get stressful, I remind myself that a year from now I’ll probably be laughing about it. That little perspective shift helps me keep moving forward with grace and gratitude.
Kim – “My husband, Jason, has supported me every step of the way — not just emotionally, but by using his woodworking skills to craft the warm, welcoming environment I dreamed of.”
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have been a licensed notionally certified massage therapist for 25 years. I began my journey in Tallahassee, Florida, and it didn’t take long for my passion to reveal itself — supporting mothers and little ones. With a natural love for babies and children, I found my calling in prenatal and infant massage, becoming my very first specialization at Pure Harmony, her massage studio in Dunedin, Florida. I was also trained as a birth and postpartum doula which I worked as for 12 years before birthing my twins.
Over the years, I have expanded my knowledge and skillset to include barefoot massage, Reiki energy healing, and a wide range of therapeutic and intuitive techniques. I believe deeply in the mind–body connection and uses a blend of modalities to help harmonize the body, ease the mind, and support a healthy nervous system reset.
Owning a business and leading a team wasn’t originally part of my plan, but the universe had something beautiful in store — and I’m grateful every day for the community that has grown around Wildflower Wellness.
I’m also proud of our Mindful Market – locally made, clean ingredient products, in recyclable containers.
The house at 136 Pacolet has been a many businesses over the past 40 years. We’ve left the coziness and nostalgia of the original wood paneling while modernizing the space with a new tongue and groove ceiling and an infrared sauna. The space is inviting and bright.
Wildflower offers a collection of services such as custom massages, cupping, aromatherapy, therapeutic massage, prenatal and infant sessions, water vibroacistical sound table and an infrared sauna.
All of our session are inspired to help connect the mind and body. There’s a zen room for relaxation before and after your sessions. This space includes a massage chair , foot massagers, tea and a relaxing couch to decompress before your massage and relax after.
Wildflower was created to bring the community together and share in a natural healthy lifestyle. A space where you get pampered, heal and let your nervous system reset
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I moved to Florida with my family when I was nine, where life quickly became a mix of beach days, softball games, traveling, and hanging out with friends. I never really knew what she wanted to be when I grew up. My kindergarten answer was that I wanted to be a tree, which still makes me smile. I was a dreamer.
I do remember massaging my parents back when I was a kid.
As I got older, I explored different paths like elementary education and social work, but none of them felt right. I even went to a massage therapy workshop and didn’t enjoy it at all—yet something inside me kept pulling me back to massage. She decided to trust that feeling, enrolled in massage school, and from the very first day, she knew she had found exactly what she was meant to do.
I think the freedom massaged therapy gave, was very appealing.
