Check Out Terri Lalonde’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terri Lalonde.

Hi Terri, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Artistic Edge Art Studio started 3.5 years ago. We operated as a mobile studio, offering only our resin pour workshop. A year later we added in some of our beach glass workshops and continued to grow from there. On November 1, 2025 we opened our first brick and mortar in Greenville, SC. Our mobile studio still operates full time by my husband and covers all over SC, NC, GA and TN. And I oversee the studio and operations. We now have over 30 different workshops our customers can choose from. And have now opened up opportunities for franchising our mobile studio.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been ups and downs. Luckily more ups than downs. Balancing a work-life balance has taken some time to figure out. Working full time with your spouse can add its challenges (but has also been fun and rewarding to grow a business with your partner). Figuring out what areas have better response to our types of workshops. Figuring out what workshops our customers favor (or don’t). Trial and error.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are a DIY art studio that offers a large variety of creative workshops. We have everything from resin pours, rug tufting, hat burning, mosaic lamps, beach glass workshops, jewelry making, pressed florals, crushed glass, and so much more! We offer a mobile studio that will come to you and a studio located in Greenville, SC that you can come to. We have scheduled workshops, walk-in hours at the studio, private events including birthday parties, team building, holiday events, bachelorette parties, girls’ night, date night or any reason to get out and have some fun!
I am most proud of bringing art and creativity into all of the areas we service. You do not have to have any artistic talent to join our workshops and create something amazing! There is nothing better than hearing someone say how proud they are of what they created!
I believe what sets us apart is the wide variety of types of workshops we offer. We are not your standard painting or pottery business – our mediums range from resin to beach glass to mosaics and so much more! People tell us often we have an elevated crafting/art business and that our variety of types are more than they have ever seen before.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is creating and teaching that to others. Creativity allows us to relax, express ourselves and tap into new ways of thinking. We all need an outlet to de-stress, the opportunity to focus on something we enjoy. I love seeing the pride and joy in people when they finish what they have been working on – expressing the fun they have had, how much they needed this time out and how proud they are of what they have done.
