Rising Stars: Meet Brittni Roper of Greenwood , South Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittni Roper.

Hi Brittni, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started doing hair when I was around 10 yrs old , I truly feel like it’s a gift I was blessed with . I took a 2 yr course once I got in highschool so I’ve been licensed since I was 17 . That’s 20 yrs now , it’s been a journey . I started off working for a company called great clips for years , I only cut hair there. I tried other things briefly but I was brought back to my gift . I rented a booth at Diva Styles salon for a few yrs and I’ve now had my own business for 2 1/2 years . It’s called Blessed By Britt studio and it’s a full service salon .

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been easy , I’ve had to work really hard . I’ve had jobs in between , while building and working part time in a salon prior to opening my own salon . I had just quit my job and went fully self employed in 2020 right when Covid hit . That was a scary time due to the shut down but everything worked out . A lot of faith is definitely required !

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Licensed Cosmetologist and owner of Blessed By Britt studio /salon . I specialize in healthy hair , I’m multi talented. I Braid , cut , Color , provide weave installs and more . I feel like that’s what sets me apart from the rest because I can do it all . My salon feels like home even if it’s your first time coming . I love the comfort I provide to my clients .

Any big plans?
I have a lot of great things in store that I’m working on but I won’t go into great detail about that right now .
