Today we’d like to introduce you to Kasey King Wedding Officiant.
Hi Kasey King, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started officiating weddings in March, 2016. I fell in love with being able to be a part of such a special moment in other people’s lives. After my first wedding, I went home and created my website, www.KaseyKingWeddingOfficiant.com. At the beginning, I was a little nervous as I knew how important the ceremony is to couples and I didn’t want to let them down, but now, close to 10 years and 800+ weddings later, there’s zero nervousness and 100% excitement to be able to share this moment with hundreds of couples. Over time, I found out through feedback from the couples that I married that they, along with their guests, really enjoyed me as their officiant and really liked my ceremony style,
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
March 2020- late 2022 was a rough patch. When they shut the world down “for 2 weeks” during the beginning of Covid, I had approximately 100 couples that had already booked my officiant services call and postpone their wedding date until the country was once stabilized. Trying to juggle 100 new dates for existing couples, plus all of the other requests coming in, it was a difficult moment.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a professional wedding officiant based out of Charleston, SC. I specialize in making sure that during the couple’s wedding day, they can rely on having a ceremony that is stress free, fun, and classy all wrapped up in 20 minutes.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I’ve noticed that if you continue to show up, do a great job, don’t cause headaches, and leave everyone happy, networking comes automatically. Wedding planners will love to refer you to their couples because they know that you will be one less thing that they have to worry about.
