Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Field.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m someone that loves being outside and I had been helping family members with their yards. But what really got me started was when I took a trip to London and I ended up helping my wife’s aunt to organize her yard for a celebration for her grandson. This is when I decided I could make this into a side business, as I still was working as a Manager full time with a company. I started my business in 2016, and it quickly grew to where I wanted to just do the landscaping and yard care full time. I took a step back at my full time job so I could really focus on Prestige in 2021 and was able to leave my full time job in 2024 after being with the company for 23 years.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Since I was working a full-time job; making sure that I had enough time in the day to meet the obligations to my Prestige clients, getting the right equipment, and hiring employees that had the knowledge and willingness to work.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Serving both residential and commercial properties we offer a variety of services to help our clients maintain a clean, healthy and overall, aesthetically pleasing appearance of their property. In order to achieve this goal, we offer everything from a basic cut and trim all the way up to aerating, fertilizing, mulching and more. We know that every person and their property have different needs, so we put together a maintenance package that best suits each client and their budget. If a client would like us to do something that is not included in their maintenance package, we will be happy to do so at an additional charge.
Each client is provided a service that pertains to their needs and how they would like their yard to appear.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I’m constantly researching to get ideas and to see how others approach different aspects of yard care and landscaping.
I do have a few people that I follow on some of the media platforms.
I read books that I think will help with organizing and being focused
Every morning before I start work I read my devotional and have a quite moment because I usually don’t get home until the late evenings and then it time to spend time with the family, whether that involves cooking, taking walks etc.
