Daily Inspiration: Meet Scott Sain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott Sain.

Hi Scott, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started playing music at the College of Charleston in 1990. Somehow, I joined a band and started playing gigs before I knew enough to be in a band, When I graduated college in 1992, I started teaching high school at Burke High in downtown Charleston. During my second year, I started my own band and began playing as much as possible. At the end of that school year, I decided that I would put teaching on the backburner and try to make it playing music. That was in 1994. I have been a full time musician/DJ since that day in June when I left Burke High for the last time.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The early years were a struggle. I borrowed a lot of money against my house to survive! But I eventually paid that all back and kept going.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a full time DJ that specializes in weddings, corporate events and parties. I am most proud of the relationships that I have built over many years with other professionals and friends. I work hard and love to work hard. I really enjoy what I do, which makes it easy to work as much as I do. I am also a vintage VW fanatic that loves restoring old VWs. I even have a 1965 VW Bus that I DJ out of and also use as a photobooth. I host 2 VW drag race/car show events a year: Germanaire Drag Day and Social (www.germanaire.com) and VW Drag Night (www.vwdragnight.com)

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Giving more than I take. I never want any client or friend to feel like they didn’t get what I promised. I say what I mean and I mean what I say,

Pricing:

  • All In Weddings start around $2450
  • Photobooth events start around $650
