Today we’d like to introduce you to Donivol Blue.
Hi Donivol, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my health career as an athlete the evolved into becoming a personal trainer. After a number of years working with people to improve their quality of life, I decided to go to massage therapy school in order to further assist those in need of a more functional lifestyle. Still wanting to do more to help people, I decided to go to Chiropractic school and while learning how to help peoples body’s in a different way, I evolved into the specialty area of Chiropractic care and became an Upper Cervical doctor. An upper cervical chiropractor focuses on the neck primarily and establishing a balance with the head and neck relationship. Now I used all three facets of health care to help people of all ages, with safe and gentle chiropractic care that does not use any twisting or cracking of the spine.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth, because there are not a lot of people aware of Upper Cervical Chiropractors. The struggle is getting peoples mindset to change away from the general chiropractic care that is more commonly known, and has a lot of negative opinions.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My journey into health and wellness began with a certification as a personal trainer in 1997/98, and he furthered his expertise by earning a Massage Therapist diploma from Missouri College in St. Louis, MO, in 2002. Driven by a passion for healing, he pursued chiropractic studies at Life University in Marietta, GA, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2011. Since opening his practice in 2012, he has dedicated himself to providing high-quality chiropractic care, specializing in the Blair Upper Cervical Technique, for which he received proficiency certification in 2014.
What sets me apart is the fact that I am a personal trainer turned fitness consultant, a Massage Therapist and a Chiropractor, that specializes in the neck, but I still address the entire spine, and I also specialize in adjustments of the hands and feet.
My logo is my brand and I am proud of the way it looks. Just as my logo shows, and the title of my office, I focus on spinal care, and that includes how you as the patient treat the spine. So with my patients I discuss habits that may contributed to them being in the states they are in when I meet them, and how to correct them to help prevent any relapse in their health.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Stay true to what I believe and don’t be afraid of my worth.
