Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Price.
Hi Lisa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in Oak Island NC. I moved to Conway in 2002. When I was growing up education wasn’t a priority, work was, in my household anyways.I didn’t graduate high school and never really thought that much about it. I also had jobs that really didn’t matter rather you graduated or not. I worked with in my husbands office the last 16 years. There were some personal stuff going on in my life and I decided to go back to high school, I worked really hard and in a year and a half March of 2022 I graduated high school.. Then I decided to go back to school for bookkeeping..It was definitely worth it and I loved it. I went to our accountant and ask to help so I would have hands on experience and she said yes. I helped out and she tought me and helped me understand the bookkeeping lingo and taxes. Then I decided to take a tax course. I worked with our accountant for two tax seasons learning whatever I could, while working there she decided she was ready to retire and sell and we discussed it and now I own it thanks to God and my husband for helping me and my family supporting me every step of the way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not by along shot was it easy. There were wishy washes notions about the sell price, when she wanted to work through, the switching over of things, I felt I was being money to death.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We offer bookkeeping, payroll and taxes. We handle payroll withholdings, we file 941’s, sales tax. I would like to be known for going above and beyond for my clients and doing whatever I have to to ensure that they are happy.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love how everything is convenient and the hospitality,
My least favorite is all the traffic.
